23  Harry Potter Shrine in Completed Projects by Oath Keeper on: July 01, 2013 12:12:51 PM
Well I'm an old Harry Potter fan who's been missing the fandom. And I was thinking about trying my hand at making a shrine after seeing so many cool ones on craftster. So when I was in the Ongoing Wish Swap and saw someone had a Harry Potter shrine on their wish list it felt like the perfect thing to craft Smiley I chose to use an Altoids mint tin as my base.
The outside has one of my favorite quotes written on aged paper along with a speical key that I'm sure all Harry Potter fans will understand being there Smiley

When you open it the top part has another favorite quote of mine Cheesy Along with a wand, owl, and real spider that I encased in resin.

And the bottom was done up like a Hogwarts classroom. And with how badly that cauldron is bubbling over I feel like Nevil may be in this class lol. I wish I has better pictures of the house crests on each side on the inside of the tin. And of the clear swirling legs I used for it to stand on to make it look like the shrine was floating on air. Also, the tiny candle by the crystal ball? Yeahhhhh I burned myself 3 times making that tiny thing with real wax Tongue lol.

The back, which I also can't find my picture of Sad , has a howler red backing with the swap date and such on the back. Hope you guys enjoyed looking Smiley

24  Needle Felting Animals (& egg) *picture heavy* in Felting: Completed Projects by Oath Keeper on: July 01, 2013 11:51:46 AM
Well my best friend got me a needle felting set as a gift and I've been having fun learning how to needle felt Smiley I've stabbed myself a good few times Tongue But its still been fun! So I thought I'd share the goodies I've made so far.
This is the very first thing I made. A little felted baby bird. I gave it to my best friend as a thank you since she loves birds to much.

Then we have Angel, Fluttershys grumpy bunny from MLP:FiM.

And this one was a bit of a failure Tongue I was making a Barn Owl but I only had white. So I thought watercolors would be a great way to get some feathery light colors on it *face palm*

So after that I just went and got some colored wool. I started with green and made a little turtle.

Then I made a little Easter egg for my moms Easter egg collection she puts out each year.

Then I made Jiji from Kiki's delivery service for a recent swap... can you tell which ear my puppy chew on for a bit? Tongue

Last we have three animals that my (very pregnant) cousin asked me to make for the nursery, as baby Mac will be in very shortly Smiley

Well I got a (very heavy) package today from our lovely swap organizer Smiley It's a doubled up since this was not only form her claim but also my swap package since I was flaked on last round.

It included 3 packs of assemble stamps, 2 boxes of mini colored stamps pads, a set of stamp pastels (never heard of them before so I know using them will be fun lol), several altoids mints tins, and two whole packs of colored cardstock. Thanks!

She also included some super soft feathers and home made paper for later ATC's.

I got a batch of adorable ATC's today from Stellou and her little one Wink Behold the cuteness for my pokemon theme (and the owl postcard that came with them).

And the ATC she sent me is movable! So look at it all opened up. (This one covers more like 3 of my themes lol). An adorable hatching Vulpix Smiley

29  Re: Miyazaki Swap Rd 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Oath Keeper on: June 06, 2013 03:21:43 PM
Ok so I was partnered with SmileyYogini aka the spoiler. I almost feel ashamed of the package I sent her after opening this. First a group shot to show you just how MUCH she fit in this box.

Now to separate stuff a bit. First the Miyazaki stuff. Here we have the most looked forward part of any swap for me... The plusheis! lol. Here is Haku (dragon form) and Howl. Two of my top favorites Smiley

Then we have a cute felt Catbus envelope :3 and a keychain of howls moving castle.

Now the extras. There's a set of WONDERFUL smelling Vampire Blood incense, an art junkie (so true) magnet, some rit dye (we were chatting about orange dyes), skittle (yum), ATC blanks, a mini wooden easel, a wooden O, and an adorable Hat for my niece Smiley Ok I THINK that's everything lol.

So, who's jealous? Wink Thanks Smiley.

Well I got two fun packages in the mail yesterday Smiley First from Gamermom (she had a bad case of life pop up and this one was delayed a bit lol). She claimed me for a foxy goodie and made a hoop of a completely regal looking fox. She even included a gift card to Hobby Lobby to make up for it being a little late Wink

Then from lorelai is my pokemon quote hoop (so I have my set now Smiley) Aren't the pikachu's adorable?

And she included some sheets of scrap booking paper and a star stamp Smiley

Thanks both of you Cheesy
