This past weekend was my Birthday (33 Oh My!) and also a good friends birthday. So I made myself a shirt for her party:

and a dress for my birthday

They are both super comfy and made me very happy Smiley

On a side note...you know you have an addiction when almost everyone you know gets you gift certificates to fabric stores for you birthday.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From the boardroom to the dance floor *Image heavy* on: February 04, 2008 08:41:07 AM
I got this shirt at the Rack for $8. I loved the pin stripe pattern but was not in love with the style.

So I cut the sleeves and added a big bow and now I am ready to wear it out and about.

I am really loving the finished project. I think I may change the buttons out for some black ones.

Comments & critiques welcome .

This year my sister-in-law and boyfriend both asked if I would make their costumes. And silly me I said SURE! Though both costumes had their difficulties I am pleased with how they turned out.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Lady in red on: May 03, 2007 11:54:48 AM
My first dress from a pattern. I used McCall's 5292.

I think it came out pretty good. I only have one minor adjustment on the bodice to finish. It's fully lined as well. Hopefully I will have somewhere to wear it soon.
