261  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Altoid Tins on: May 08, 2012 12:16:08 PM
Cackle, MissingWillow, Rackycoo and I got together last weekend for fun, food and fighting over good stuff at junk shops. We each picked a swap theme for an Altoid tin or ATC.

Here's a link to the ATC I made for Racky: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=408330.0

MissingWillow's theme was zombie sheep:

A mermaid for cackle:

It was such a fun weekend!

Rackycoo, cackle, MissingWillow and I got together last weekend for fun, food and fighting over good stuff at junk shops. We each picked a swap theme and Rackycoo's was "child beauty pageants". The whole "Toddlers in Tiaras" movement really creeps me out, so I went vintage. It's atc-sized on a permanent stand.

Man, those kids still creep me out. *shiver* I busted out a sewing needle and embroidery thread for ya (and maybe a little paper...) This was such a fun weekend. Thanks for your fabulous hospitality. You are an amazing cook and the only person to ever get me that close to a goat... sheep... a baby turkey... chickens... and a cow! Smiley

I'm so thrilled with it! It's too funny about the hatpins and pincushions, isn't it? You're the best (and a bit of a mind reader, I suspect)!

Really cool project! Racky, Cackle and I are in the same room right now so I'm not sure who said it first, but we all LOVE what you did with the scissors!

Ouch ouch! I hate to be the one to say it, but there is nothing "micro" about that poor finger. I'm a fellow lefty also, and I'm feeling for you right now. Sad

I don't think I knew about the HRP movie, though I remember seeing the TV show. Mama Cass? Wow! And Witchypoo's house is great - it'd be great as a garden shed.

My megalomaniacal idea was to make a matchbox that was embedded in a tree, as if the tree had grown around it. I was going to find a dead tree with a suitable knothole, cut out a manageable section, carefully split it in two, make an opening for the box and glue the halves back together again so Cackle would have to use an axe to get the matchbox out. But I've moved on to less weighty plans.

Too close to my idea for comfort

Er, even though my thoughts were going in a similar matchbox-in-tree direction I've hit the brakes now. Good thing I received something in the mail today that sparked another idea. Smiley

I can't even start on mine until next week! Gah! My tummy is getting all fluttery looking at the example links and reading this chatter. Both from impatience to start and nervousness. *grin* Must wander in the woods a bit for inspiration.

Wulf  -definitely need a "megalomaniacal schemes" drawer! Love it!
