Yay! I can't believe you've already received it, Pottermouth! I'm thrilled you love it. 😄

Listessa - thanks for the soldering clamp link! I use one of those jewelry clamps with two arms and the magnifier but find it can get top-heavy and unstable. If this NAPA one has a heavy base the lower center of gravity is fantastic!

Oh, and I wrap, tuck and file for the most part. I took a torch class at Bead & Button a few years ago but am nervous to do it on my own.

I believe my boyfriend somehow attached a couple to a heavy base of steel plate to keep it down.  I can't remember if it comes with a heavy magnet base or if he did something to modify it. Smiley

A big washer from the hardware and E6000 will do the trick! I definitely like the lower center of gravity. Thanks!

OK swappers, be prepared to be amazed. AMAZED, I say! After a crushingly long wait, the postie delivered pottermouth's fantastic spoolie art. OMG, is all I can say right now.

I give you the wonderful world of Fairy Hill.

Hand carved (?) doors and windows!

Carved cork doorway cover and pinecone seed window shades!

See what those fairies are hiding?

I am so thrilled with this, pottermouth! Thank you so much for your attention to detail and creative mind. I'm a lucky swapper!

The spool Pottermouth made for me is out for delivery. I'm so excited! Will the postie EVER get here?!?

I am trying to figure out how to mail mine and keep it all in one piece. I think I have a good way to package. I'll pack up and mail on Saturday. I wish I could get to the post office sooner its a long way to Australia. But don't worry whenindoubtsew, it will get there!
I ended up making a card stock sleeve for mine. It isn't pretty packaging, but I think it will keep the parts in place without squishing them. At least I hope!

More spoolie goodness!

Eerie, EdelC. The arms are great, as are those chubby cheeks.

Racky - the wee mermaid is so cute! You always do such neat things with vintage images.

Crazyda79 - I love that you left the spool wood plain. It's a great nest!
