21  Re: Vintage Christmas Altered Tin Swap GALLERY (CLOSED.. Send-outs 12/1) in The Swap Gallery by Killam Creative on: December 04, 2011 05:07:04 PM
Ok folks, amaryllisroze asked me to post photos since she had a dreary day without much good lighting. Soooo here it is:

And a wee detail on the bottom that covers the emergency nail I had to put in to keep the parts together.  Undecided

I hope you like, a'roze!

22  Dia De Los Muertos Birthday in Completed Projects by Killam Creative on: November 02, 2011 01:41:27 PM
Since I couldn't be with my big sister, cackle on her birthday, I sent these guys along to sing to her.

I still ended up squawking out "happy birthday" on her answering machine, but she was gracious enough not to tell me how many windows broke in her house... *grin*

Cheers!

23  Chunky Halloween Houses in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Killam Creative on: October 27, 2011 07:21:15 PM
I wanted to share the chunky houses made for the Halloween swap. It was fun!

This is my favorite. The skeleton is a stamped image that was cut out with an X-Acto knife. I patted him on an embossing pad and used clear embossing powder to make him shiny.

The spiderweb is part of the paper design and I "painted" it with Glossy Accents so it has a wet embossed look.

The skeleton here was also "painted" with Glossy Accents. The black swirls were colored in with glitter glue.

I love this vintage image! The background is dry embossed with a brick wall embossing folder then beat up with an assortment of inks to resemble a brick wall in the garden.

Cheers,
Susan

Love the Easter Island house, irid3sc3nt! The stamp on the back is great, too.

Here is the house I sent to TheSavoyTruffle:

I received my final house from goatgoddess last week then promptly fell off the edge of the earth. So sorry for the awful delay in adding photos to the gallery!

Here's the front. I love the image and the text is fantastic!

The back has strips of French text with a fun purple wash.

Thanks for a fun swap, everyone!

My very first Halloween neighborhood has started. I received my little house from irid3sc3nt! She used skeletons as the theme - how cool is that? A couple of these dandies are hand cut. And I thought I was the Queen of Fussy Cutting!

Can you see the shadow of the Bates Motel-esque building? Neat! I love the Halloween banner - I'm totally going to snatch that idea!

The back has a couple of lines from a Louis Armstrong song "The Skeleton in the Closet". It's absolutely perfect for all the dancing skellies on the front!

Thanks so much irid3sc3nt! I love it!

29  Re: FoC Acrylic-Free Bead Soup Swap (Round 5) GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Killam Creative on: September 25, 2011 06:05:22 PM
Hi swappers! My swap partner received but is MIA with photos, so dear jennieingram said I could post them. I only wish I took better ones!

Bead soup:

I made this aluminum chainmaille bracelet using the byzantine weave and a large focal bead since Ralph said she wears silver and likes metal beads.

I hope she likes it all.

Cheers,
Susan

I received a fabulous package from Alchamy513 yesterday. I feel oh-so-spoiled, my dear. Thank you so much!

Alchamy did a stellar job of feeding my bright and shiny addictions. More than once I heard "come here, my pretty" whispered on the air... I can't say it wasn't coming from me. She made me a fun watch face bracelet and added a lovely length of black lace - nice stalking! I'll be using it in a card this week - it's perfect to play off the kraft paper I'm using. Here's the "big picture":

Can you believe all these strands in such gorgeous colors? I lurve the lime green discs (top right) and the little blue teardrops (right side near the purple) will make perfect raindrops. Check out the stone pendants. They might find their way at the end of a micromaille necklace. Oh yea.

I love me some metal beads.... especially the big gold ones.

Leaf beads. I can't get enough leaf beads. These are very very cool.

This charm assortment is delicious! I've been wanting the little face beads forever, and look at the fishies! And petite pink watch faces! And the earth with the airplane? Never going to leave my sight. It's quite possibly the best charm EVER.

Talk about best ever, can you believe this is Alchamy's first watch face bracelet? I love it!

Thanks so much Alchamy513! I really appreciate all the beautiful colors and fantastic assortment of goodies.
