1  Glaring of Monsters in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: April 24, 2012 06:29:10 AM
I keep making these because they are very popular at craft fairs... however I am starting to wonder if I am just making them for me really. But hey, who cares? That's what crafting is about right? Selfish Fun  Grin

2  Game over in Needlework: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: April 24, 2012 06:25:11 AM
A simple Hoop-la inspired by a mooch through my old games collection. Hopefully it will prove to be popular but we shall see.

I noticed the stitching was slightly wonky when I took the photo where the aida was stretched in the frame, but over all not major harm.  Smiley

3  Rubber and steel Chainmaille Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Kat Shenton on: February 02, 2012 11:19:17 PM
I adore chainmaille and have been playing around for a while now with different effect and colours. This is one of my favourite pieces just because of the use of closed rubber jump rings. A mix between the gothic and the cyberpunk effects.

Hope you like!

4  The Owl of Wisdom in Knitting: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: January 25, 2012 01:05:45 AM
So okay I am not the worlds best knitter... and therefore yes this is off a pattern. But I had to show everyone, just because I was so happy I finished something that looked this sweet. Love this guy... even did a friend to go with him.

And his friend - the Owl of Mystery.

I should point out that I have no idea where those names came from... or why I have stuck with them... but hey, no major right?

5  Two Miceles in Knitting: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: November 25, 2011 05:00:13 AM
Hi everyone,

It's been so long since I've had time to post anything on here. Not because I didn't want to, but just because of the joys of life. Or not as the case may be.

Any who though, I thought I would introduce you to a couple of knitted friends of mine. I'm more than a little impressed by the way these guys turned out, hence the sharing. And of course there is nothing wrong with sharing  Wink

6  Cthulhu Feltie in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: February 21, 2011 07:55:56 AM
As some of you may already know, I love working with felt. After making up plenty of feltie rabbits for valentines day I thought I would go back to the roots of madness and sew this little guy together. My boyfriend has fallen in love with him, so I think I might have to make a bigger version. Hope you like him as much as I enjoyed making him!

7  Trinket Box in Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: February 07, 2011 12:48:26 AM
Okay, so this is kinda recycled as it was given to me looking a little bit like it had gone through the wars. It was covered in layered of emulsion and needed stripping. The hinged needed to be replaced and it deserved a whole new look.

It was repainted using emulsion again (not normally something I would use of wood but they were the colours I wanted). I chose to mix a soft pink with a grey-purple shade. I covered the ghastly opening clasp with a butterfly motif. At least now is can sit on my shelf looking less of an eyesore.

8  When is a gift box not a gift box? in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: January 20, 2011 07:44:58 AM
When it's a feltie!

New range I'm working on to get out and sell. What do you think? Here's my proto-type.

The jewellery fits into the gap between the hearts and his chest.

9  Hand-Fasting Invite in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Kat Shenton on: January 19, 2011 07:58:23 AM
Card making I can do, but this is the first time I have ever had to do anything for myself. This is the front of one of my Wedding/Hand-fasting invites. As you can probably tell there is a gothic theme going on. This is only one of three designs I will eventually get round to doing. I know the picture quality isn't great. My camera battery is dead so I had to rely on my phone  Tongue

10  Felt Bats in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kat Shenton on: January 10, 2011 04:07:35 AM
I completed these little guys over the weekend. I haven't made them for any real reason. Had some black felt knocking about and thought I could make something to hang on my wardrobe door. They are all a little wonky but I think it gives them a personality of sorts.

This one looks surprised for some reason  Smiley

This one is my fave. He has bent wings and a 'why me?' look hehe...
