91  Stained Glass Lamp in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by jmiller614 on: January 07, 2011 11:26:23 AM
I made this simple stained glass lamp a few years ago after my mother taught me the tricks of the trade! I chose a four-sided lamp because it made lining up the angles of the shade (each ninety degrees) easy after creating each side separately. It is definitely important to create a fixture to hold this angle for you. But it looks great with relatively little glass used, straight lines to cut and foil, and not too much to solder.

I am unable to post pictures yet, but check out my hosted pictures! I will have to add another with the lamp turned on (waiting for myself to purchase an extension cord for the new apartment).

92  Flower Press in Completed Projects by jmiller614 on: January 03, 2011 01:01:37 AM
My grandmother has spent years pressing four leaf clovers in books. I used a store bought flower press given to me as a child as a template and made one of my own for her for Christmas. I tried to "mod podge" some reeds on the cover for decoration. The flowers or clovers dry between blotting paper in the stack and are "pressed" by tightening the wingnuts on the overall stack.
