81  Re: Mail Me Art! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jmiller614 on: May 19, 2011 07:39:37 AM
I received two cards from Schnerby!

This one just makes me smile at how much fun it is to draw spirals:

And this one gives me my new piece of trivia for the day!

Thank you! Beautiful colors!

82  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap - May, 2011 in The Swap Gallery by jmiller614 on: May 17, 2011 06:21:03 PM
Yep, I was eating hard boiled eggs around that time so I figured I would use them!

I am excited to see the Kitchen sign when it is finally done!

Here's my ATC from jmiller614.

I love it!  It's for my kitchen.  The eggs are even made from eggshells!  (Right?  That's what it looks like)

Thanks so much.

Wow. I am completely embarrassed to post pictures because carinafox did an incredible job with my science theme and I look like a dork, but truly amazing. I don't think I realized how much I would enjoy the matchboxes I received!

The draw pulled out to reveal quite a few things including:

Thank you!!

Thanks realityinvazion for the unique page. The tiny detail of thread along the outlines of the clouds looks great!

I received from jennieingram yesterday!

We both learned that we grew up in NH and she really took off on that theme. Which was amazing! Except now I am stuck in California and really missing NH!

The back of the box:

The front and inside:

Some of my favorite items:

The bottle cap has an old postcard of NH for the image (my favorite!) and the paper is a poem from Robert Frost. Absolutely in love with this!

Thanks Jennie!

Received from Eeyore_witch yesterday!

Thank you! I love the differentiation between what you have to do and what you love to do. Definitely cool to see what crafters fill their day with!

Tree27's great journal page! My first guess was that you study chemistry? But then based on the feldspar, geology? Thank you!

It also reminded me of my underlying desire for a labelmaker.

89  Dry Soup Mixes in Recipes and Cooking Tips by jmiller614 on: January 12, 2011 11:36:47 AM
This is not so much a cooking project as a craft project - but a great homemade gift for a cold day. Prepare and bag the mix, just add water and heat! It can store for a long time.

90  Quick and Simple Pillowcases in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by jmiller614 on: January 07, 2011 11:31:54 AM
I recently received a new bedspread and was not too please that my sheets didn't match, but at least the sheet was hidden when the bed was made; unfortunately the pillowcases stuck out!

I found that sewing standard queen pillowcases was really quick and easy after using old sheets or purchasing a few yards of fabric. I used a current pillowcase as a pattern and ended up creating quite a few, some with fun patterns, for birthday and Christmas gifts.

Such a useful item!
