1  Help on this dress? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by kraize4step on: February 26, 2012 02:48:22 PM
Ok so I wanted to make a prom dress and finished it, but after looking at it I realized that It wasnt what I really wanted for my senior prom dress. I donated my the first dress I made and Then I saw it!! The most amazing dress ever. I wanted to do an ombre effect from red to black on this dress but Its an expensive wedding dress that wont even be out before my prom >.> I was curious What the basic pattern pieces for it was, or basic costruction for this dress. I want to build a corset underneath and put lace on it to represent the top and put satin type pieces above it. But Im confused about the skirt. Tips on drafting the dress? What fabric would be  best? I thouht a poly-satin to work with dye-in the fabric afterwards. Any help is appreciated ^.^

3  how to make this dress??? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by kraize4step on: December 08, 2011 01:53:01 PM
Ok so I have a couple of years of sewing under my belt (1.5) and a friend asked if I could make her a prom dress. Cheesy Me saying yes and being nice she proceeded to pick out an unattractive dress to say the least. To discourage her from that dress, I found a $500 dress she would absolutely love and she changed her mind. But now Im in a rutt. This dress will be beautiful on  her, but I need  a little of help to break down how to make this dress. I can work out how to make the bodice but the skirt is a little confusing to me. I know its multiple layers, but Im not quite sure how to fit it and make it all work out. XD Difficulty level may be incredibly advanced but I will keep on at it until I finally am able to make it. Any help is welcome, I mean any at all Cheesy please

4  Purple lolita skirt :D in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kraize4step on: September 09, 2011 04:32:09 PM
This is a little skirt that I decided to make for my little sister. XD She always somehow tricks me into making stuff just for her. There was a sell at our local fabric shop so after picking up a couple of trinkets to spice up this skirt I whipped it up for her. It has a zipper on the side and an half elastic waistband. It took about 4 hours to make, she couldnt make up her mind :p but It was done in time for her to wear it to a cookout where it was complimented ALOT ^.^ which made me happy. I would appreciate any type of constructive criticism. K now Im done talking Smiley picture time

5  First lolita project ^.^ Pic. obese in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kraize4step on: July 14, 2011 07:56:32 PM
it was my sissys 17th birthday and I was tired of never findin an awesome present so I decided to make one. Shes recently decided to dress in lolita fashion so I decided to try and make a lolita dress for her. Its a replica of a dusty rose colord dress but I dont quite remember where its from to be honest. Its a simple bodice and circle skirt I drafted up.I also made a very small petticoat to fit underneath it and add just a little bit of fluff.
If anyones interested I can write up a tutorial and walk thru the steps I took. Ive been itchin to make one in a navy and white to wear to school.

If you  click on the picture it will show more clearly in my photos ^.^

tell me whatcha think about it ^.^
