12  Bollywood style nails in 10 minutes in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by PinkyDoll on: July 30, 2012 04:13:58 PM
I will show you an easy and fun Bollywood style nails that anyone can do at home in 10 minutes. All you will need is 2 bottles of nail polish. It actually turned out looking better than the professional manicure I have a couple days ago. You be the judge! Tell me spending $12 just for a simple one color polish job is not crazy compared to the fast and cheaper DIY nail art at home.

MY FUN BOLLYWOOD STYLE NAILS

THE BORING NAIL SALON COLOR

In this nail design, I’m using the coral color polish from forever 21 as base. I love how rich the color is and it is surprisingly similar to the red color Indians love to use in their special occasion like weddings.

HOPE YOU WILL LIKE THIS TOO!

13  Multi color nails (2 designs) in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by PinkyDoll on: April 30, 2012 07:41:38 PM
If you never try the fun and cheerful multicolor nails, I strongly recommend you give it a go after reading this blog post. I’ll give you some ideas on how to make them look cohesive and what kind of designs will go well with those eye-catching fingernails.

I’m using a line of tiny and affordable nails colors by “Essence”. Their polish offer a wide range of “Macaron” colors and each of them only cost $0.99. I love the small bottle design because I can never finish the regular size nail polish without them drying out on me anyway. This way I feel less wasteful and actually have a chance of using up the whole bottle of nail color.

14  Free Drawing Games & Apps in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by PinkyDoll on: March 29, 2012 12:45:40 AM
Long time ago I did a review for the drawing tablet. It was a great tool for drawing and designs but since I purchased my first Android phone, I realized there’s a lot of free drawing app that pretty much do the same thing. Best news is… they are free!

I screen printed all my proud mini artworks from these games. All drawings are done with my Skyrocket, a few colors and my fingers. Hope you find my article useful.

15  New Kawaii Decoden Cell Phone Case For My Skyrocket in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by PinkyDoll on: March 11, 2012 05:23:17 PM
I switch my phone a few month ago to the new and wonderful 4.3 inch screen Samsung Skyrocket. Since the phone is pretty new to the market so it was hard to find a pretty case for the model. I purchased a few basic cases and decided to decorate it myself just like last time.

Using the decoden materials purchase from the stores in my previous posts, I was able to custom the case design to my personal preference and still keep it under a certain budget. Not bad for 10 bucks in total cost right?

18  Valentine’s day DIY # 2 : Homemade chocolates in Dessert by PinkyDoll on: February 18, 2012 06:31:04 PM
Another cool thing that I did this year is hand made chocolate with my girl friends. We meet up the night before and kept the DIY chocolate session a total secret from our love ones. We got a couple blocks of pure chocolate ( dark and white ), a dozen large strawberries, 2 types of crushed nuts, coco powder & paper boxes for decorations. The materials we need are pretty simple and we end up chipping in only 7.3 dollars per person.

I picked a very simple design pattern which only require 3 steps. Any entry level knitter will know these basic steps: the cast-on, the basic stitches and the cast-off/ bind-off method. My scarf is 38 stitches wide and I lost count of how many rows I did for this scarf. All I remember is I knit 6 hours every day for 7 days straight. It is like another full time job!
