I recieved my inchies from whats_her_name and jillhogan this week. They are both lovely and awesome. I love all of my inchies.

Here are the pics of the inchies from JillHogan. She chose the theme butterflies. It doesn't show very well in the pic but the butterflies are shimmery.

Here are the pics of the inchies from whats_her_name. She mounted them Smiley and they were in a lovely card.

Thank you both for such lovely inchies!

I received another great package in the mail today. This package is from NotKnit and she had claimed yarn and trims.

I love love love the TLC Amore yarn. It's sooo soft , fluffy and great to crochet with. I actuallly have a project started that is using the purle yarn as part of it and I'll be happy to add that in. The rest of the yarn I'll have fun dreaming up a new project for. the suede is sooooo soft. There were also some spools of ribbon, a small amount of exotic trim, thonging/cord, and this amazing beaded peacock pin. The beads on the peacock pin are sooo tiny and I can't fathom how they are held together so neatly and tightly with just thread. I love peacocks and I think I'll be showing that pin off on easter sunday. Smiley

Group shot:

Thanks NotKnit for a great package!

I received from Sylvana today. I love them all.

Here is a favorite firefly quote and four adorable forest animals that she inchied.

it's a shame you can't feel things on the computer screen. The dino's are very softy and fuzzy.

Thanks Sylvanna!

I received a totally awesome package from Minusxl3lindfold today. I feel completely spoiled! She sent soo many wonderful extras as well as 2 awesome crafts!

Here's a group shot of the extras: chocolate, brownie, tea, stickers, clear stamps, seed tape with butterfly and hummingbird seeds, and a cool glass star wrapped in multicolored wire.

Here's a closeup of the seed tape and star wire thingy

Now for more awesomeness a double sided fairy/gnome door made of clay. (which is the item that's from my wish list) This door is really cool and I'm eager to put some rocks around it to make it look really cool. I wonder what my young sons will make of it? Can I convince them that a gnome or fairy has moved into our garden?

And here is a bamboo wind chime with leaf, flower, and butterfly beads and a totally gorgeous fairy pick at the bottom. I really really love this wind chime. (I'll add a better picture soon)

Thanks Katelyn for being such and awesome partner!

25  Batty About Blocks Swap, anyone? (knit and/or crochet) in New Swap Theme Ideas by Crafty Butterfly on: April 21, 2011 04:58:19 AM

(image found in the 2010 200 crochet blocks CAL. The afghan was made by Love2teach Thanks!)

Wouldn't it be fun to do a swap for knitted and/or crocheted motifs?

I was thinking that there could be an option for 2 or 4 partners sending 6 motifs each but am open to suggestions. Would it be better to swap just a few for inspiration or enough that it could be a small afghan?

Would 7 inches be a good standard size? Should we stick to squares, or allow other shapes (hexagons, circles, etc)?

Interest, input and questions are all very welcome!

26  Re: Matchbox Swap round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Crafty Butterfly on: April 15, 2011 02:34:27 PM
I received my Matchbox from Nostephot today. Thank you! I love it.

She packaged it by wrapping it in a lovely batik fabric and adding a few bay leaves that came from a tree in her yard.

The box itself looks as though she made it from scratch. I love the hexagons and sparkly butterflies!

And the contents are lovely. My favorite bits are the butterfly bead and jewels. The wire spiral look pretty and I could use them as stitch markers for knitting or crochet. I also like the brads. I've never used brads in papercrafting to go but am eager to have a go now that I have them. The fabric yoyo is really pretty and I love every little thing.

Thanks for such a wonderful matchbox!

I received my inchies from Khaotic Crafter today. I loved the envelope and letter almost as much as the inchies themselves. The envelope was made from a map. The card was a cut from a box of some sort and had a pic of a picnic table on it. The writing inside was on a brown paper bag so that I could re-use the card.

The inchies from left to right top row: tree, Firefly (Mal in a bonnet), a Giraffe (made by her daughter), and a unicorn
then fairy and butterflies. The inchies look as if they are made from various bits of recycling which is awesome. They all match my themes very nicely. I love all the added sparkles. One of hte butterfly backgrounds looks like it is denim.

Thanks Khaotic Crafter!

28  Re: Easter Egg Swap Gallery (send-outs: 4/9) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Crafty Butterfly on: March 31, 2011 02:04:32 PM
I received an awesome package from Nikimac a couple of days ago here are the pics:

My boys decided that they wanted to be in the picture. The little one on the left is holding up a Drawing that Niki's kids did.  The less little one on hte right is holding up a pack of morning glory and petunia seeds that were included in the package.

here's a close up of the eggs, coasters, and magnets. Astroturf and cork make a very cool coaster. I like the stickers on the eggs but the jokes written on the outside of the egg and the punchline written inside was very clever.

here's a pic of the handpainted hot pad. (I love butterflies and flowers, great job!)

here's a picture of the Elvish Leaf Brooch from Lord of the Rings. It's from my wist Smiley Thanks soo much for making this! I love it.

29  Re: $4.95 Swap AKA Fill a SMALL Flat Rate Box R3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Crafty Butterfly on: March 17, 2011 11:09:48 AM
I recieved my package from TerraBella01 A few days ago. It made my day to see the package waiting there and to open and see how stuffed full it was with crafty goodness. I've had a crazy week but have now made the time to get the photos up.  I apologise for not getting them up sooner. I really do love and am eager to use everything that was sent to me.

The box was so full of stuff that it took a few photos to get it all.

The best bit was these awesome cricut monsters, dino, owls, squirrel elephant, etc that Terrabella01 made for me.

here's 3 pics of all the paper that was packed in the box

The cloud paper at the top of this pic is actually an envelope made from a calender page. That's an awesome idea!

here's a pic of the beads in the little box that was tied shut with rafia

thanks again Terrabella01 for everything!
