WoW!  There are so MANY wonderful projects that have been posted since I could last take a look.  So much creativity ladies!  I will have to go back when I have a few more minutes to look at everythin again and add comments.
Mistress Jennie--Your night lights are amazing.  Very unique and and gorgeous.

Oh my!  i am so glad I logged on.  I am so excited to be a Magician of the Month Smiley Thanks!     I made these hats a week ago, but life has been so busy I almost missed the time to submit.  I got a new job and life has been Crazy busy.  I have done so little crafting this last month.  But I did have fun trying my hand at something new- These Barbie hats made out of felt.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Floo Powder. Madam Malkins.
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name: Barbie hats
Description:  Madam Malkin has a secret passion for the Muggle doll Barbie.  She loves to create small scale items when she gets a new idea for Wizarding apparel.  These tiny hats are specially tailored for Barbie.  A bit of feather and ribbons looks magical on any fine-tailored accessory!

Here are a few things I have been working on this month:
I am teaching my son how to sew with a frontiersman shirt, and I  recreated a pair of flap front  britches for him. (We are going to go to a Rendezvous and Williamsburg in the next few months). I researched them and attempted to make them historically accurate. I used Linen cloth and wooden buttons.  I ordered the buttons online and they were larger than I was expecting, all well.  I did have to use a snap in one spot (well hidden) as the flap was drooping.  If the buttons had been smaller I might of been able to use a few along the top.  Seeing as the pants will only be worn a few times, before my son outgrows them, I am not going to replace the large buttons.  It was an interesting project, and if I can ever talk my husband into dressing up for a rendezvous I would make them again.  They need a good ironing- but here they are--

Some bookmarks and soft neck pillows:

**Completed Owl**
OWL Subject & Option: History of Magic Option 3-Craft something using a vintage pattern, material, or technique.
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Drop Front Trousers
Brief Description: Before the time of zippers wizards young and old, employed Drop front breeches. My son is studying mountain men and they used such britches.  I am teaching him how to sew with a frontiersman shirt and I am going to recreate a pair of magical britches for him, to transport him back to the time of rendezvous'.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: DADA
SPEW: n/a
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Alcohol Ink Necklace
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I have had a set of alcohol inks gathering dust for a few years.  The permanence of the ink intimidated me (I have a knack for staining things...).  I almost just gave them a way a while back.  But, I finally rallied myself enough to give them a try.  I made a Shrinky Dink necklace with them.  They were fun to play with and I think I will try it again.  My shrinky dink plastic ended up being white when baked.  Transparent would of been much better.  The picture shows the ink much better than IRL. IRL it is much darker.  I was hoping for the brighter colors to show them off better.  I think the transparent plastic would do this.
