Ok, everything's done! Here's a teaser pic for gingerberrycc:

I pretty much applied all of the obscuring features on my image program... I think maybe one thing you could figure out what it is, if you've seen it before, but the rest would be pretty hard to guess. I'll be sending tomorrow, so I hope you like it!

12  Re: Craft my favorite quote swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by Cinnamoon on: July 18, 2011 07:50:38 PM
Well, my partner seems to have gone MIA, so I'm going to go ahead and post pictures (well, a picture) of what I sent to her.
I made her a diptych of embroidery hoops with one of her favorite quotes on them.

Sorry for the poor lighting!
I hope that she liked them, and that you do as well. Smiley

Liannalives! Your package, in a rather fetching large padded envelope, will soon be winding its way to you. It will be sent in an hour or so, when I go to the post office. In the meantime...

Tease!

14  Snoopy for President in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Cinnamoon on: June 04, 2011 06:55:08 PM
I made this shirt for my sister's birthday.

She loves Snoopy, and I had this shirt left over from another project.

I found the Snoopy stencil by googling "Snoopy", and just typed up the words and printed them.

I think it turned out pretty well! This is one of my favorite things that I've made

15  Magnus to Minus: T-shirt Recon in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Cinnamoon on: April 25, 2011 05:51:38 PM

A week or two ago, I went to a Latin convention for high school students in Vancouver, BC, and was given the obligatory convention shirt. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication, our entire group received shirts in size XXL. I am most definitely not an XXL.

(Please excuse the weird angle).

There was no way that I could wear that shirt in public. It came down almost to my knees! And I had enough sleep shirts. So, I decided to recon it. See if I could make it smaller somehow. After all, what did I have to lose?

I think it worked pretty well.
I used a T-shirt that fit well as a pattern, and made it up as I went along. This is the original shirt with the pattern shirt:

I'm thrilled with how it turned out - now I can actually wear my shirt!

17  Circe in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Cinnamoon on: April 07, 2011 01:11:43 PM
This is my first ever poppet. Her name is actually Lily, but she's currently dressed up as Circe for a JCL (Junior Classical League) convention. She's my art entry.  Cheesy

Here she is with her wand, turning Odysseus' men into pigs. (The men are off-camera.  Wink)

Chilling on a garden hose:

The back, so you can see her massive amount of hair!

I'm very happy with how she turned out.

meleriffic: I sculpted the fingers on one hand... the other is giving me troubles, and still has to be done! Smiley

I made a dress for the poppet yesterday, instead of working on her Greek dress. (She's going to be my art entry for a Junior Classical League convention, so I need to make her costume eventually.) I got tired of being watched by a nekkid poppet while I worked!

I think her name is Lily.

I finished the body of my poppet. (Except for the fingers on one hand). There's only one strip of hair on her head right now, and it's just laid on, and she still needs eyes... and clothes! But I'm quite happy with her so far.  Cheesy

20  Tree of Life necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Cinnamoon on: January 17, 2011 02:31:14 PM
I made this pendant last night. It's the first time I've ever made one, and in typical "me" fashion I decided to ignore the many tutorials on the internet and make it up as I went along.

I think it turned out alright.  Smiley The main difference between my tree and the tree tutorials was that this was made with one long piece of wire, instead of multiple pieces. (Well, technically it was two, as I ran out halfway through and had to put a new piece on, but I joined it exactly where the last one had left off, so I think it counts as one.)

I'm very happy with it, and desperate to make another one!
