1  Baby Bender in Needlework: Completed Projects by mthrasher138 on: September 30, 2014 02:50:57 PM
I made this hoop for milkeway for the recent tv/movie swap. In all the hoops I have made this is the first one I have ever done in satin stitch and long and short stitch. It was very time consuming, but I am happy with how it turned out!

Thanks for looking!

I received an awesome package from milkeway! Let me tell you last week was horrible. My uncle passed away suddenly and my grandma was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. Milkeway's package really cheered me up. Here's the goodies!

First off a Doctor Who bookmark featuring my favorite Doctor, Ten!

You can never have too many bookmarks (or Doctor Who related items)!

Then she made me these two amazing hoops!

Wicket the Ewok for my love of Star Wars

A demon dog from Ghostbusters!

And finally a wooden version of River Song's notebook

But wait...

It's a clock!!!!!! Shocked

Thank you for such an amazing swap package milkeway!

3  Wilderness Explorers hoop in Needlework: Completed Projects by mthrasher138 on: September 16, 2014 03:00:18 PM
I made this hoop for Elameno for the Disney swap. She loves the little Wilderness Explorer boy in the movie Up! and so I created this hoop based on the patch on his uniform. I used felt and embroidery floss. I also had a little bit of ribbon with trees on it so I thought that would be a cute touch as the hanger.

4  It's a Small World magnet in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by mthrasher138 on: September 16, 2014 02:56:16 PM
I made this magnet for Elameno in the Disney swap. She loves the art of Mary Blair who designed the concept art for the It's a Small World ride. I used Sharpie and colored pencils on Shrinky Dink plastic.

Here are my awesome goodies from Elameno!

First she made me some Sleeping Beauty gift tags and sent some Disney Trading pins. I love Darth PotatoHead!

Then she made me this awesome notebook based on Sleeping Beauty. It's so well done it looks store bought! The paper she used to cover the outside of it looks like dragon scales.

She hand marbled the inner covers! It looks like spooky Maleficent fire!

She also hand carved a stamp of thorns and stamped all of the pages!

And last but not least, she made me a Fantasia centaur hoop! And this hoop is crazy amazing because it's made out of PAPER! I don't know how she cut out that border. It is so tiny and intricate. I didn't tell her, but she actually picked my favorite centaur from the movie!

Thank you so much Elameno! I love it all!

10  Re: Mini 13 Days of Halloween Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mthrasher138 on: September 05, 2013 10:38:51 PM
My gallery of gory goodies!  Grin

On the first day of Halloween Lo{ve} sent to me:

A bunch of Halloween candy! A delightful mix of twix, 3 musketeers, snickers, and milky ways. Alas, the people in my household ran off with the goods before I could snap a pic.

On the second day of Halloween:

A set of lovely Halloween bookmarks! I still read REAL books (shocking I know) and can always use another bookmark. They are so cute and well made. Jealous of Lo{ve}'s sewing skills already!

On the third day of Halloween:

Supply day! A bunch of Fall/Halloween buttons!

On the fourth day of Halloween:

An awesome set of perler bead coasters! Frankenstein and his bride are kind of like mascots for my husband and I. We even had them on our wedding cake! I can't wait to use these!

On the fifth day of Halloween:

A lovely tea wallet and a box of green tea!

A shot of the inside of the wallet and Lo{ve}'s awesome sewing skills!

On the sixth day of Halloween:

Super cute Halloween socks and some crocheted scrubbies!

On the seventh day of Halloween:

Gifts for my husband (a skull candle and skull shot glasses) and furkids (treats and a Halloween collar)!

On the eighth day of Halloween:

A jack o' lantern hoopla! She said it was her first one ever and I'm impressed!

She also included this cute spider decoration that glows different colors.

On the ninth day of Halloween:

Glitter! I love the orange and green ones especially!

On the tenth day of Halloween:

Creepy letters! Lo{ve} says she doesn't really do paper crafts, but I think she did a great job!

On the eleventh day of Halloween:

Halloween baking supplies!

Cutest spatula ever!

On the twelfth day of Halloween:

A cute ghosty mug rug! She quilted around the ghosts to give it a neat texture!
