1  Re: Squid Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by iluvmyti85 on: February 09, 2006 08:47:39 AM
Eek! I've been out of the country, but here are the things I sent skitterflex.

This is a squid.  He loves squidding around!  and hugging you (that's right, it's a hug, no eating) with his awesome squid tentacles.  He is pretty large.

And here is a partially felted (hand felting takes forever!) pouch with a lovely octopus adorning its front.  He is happy because his sea is all different colors of Noro Kureyon!

Ok, I got pictures!

everything all lovely on the coffee table

a better view of the cephalapod adorned box and the squid shawl/bag pin.  I'm making the urban outfitters shrug for myself at the moment (well it is onhold for after christmas) but i'll totally wear the squid pin with it at some point Smiley, you know, when I'm feeling squidy.

I have to hide the bag, my roommate seriously wants to steal it.

3  Re: Significant Other Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by iluvmyti85 on: December 13, 2005 08:08:25 PM
wheee! Eric sent me pictures.  Unfortunately none of them include his cute face, but it is kind of hard to compel that kind of love from 350+ miles away.... but I know he loves everything! He told me so Smiley

Glasses for us to enjoy cocoa out of with our initials Smiley  so jr. high in such an awesome way!

sweet sweet AquaTeen Hunger Force hat love!!! I'm loving this, because I can never get Eric to wear a hat, no matter what I do.  So I'm really hoping he wears this one!

math magnetic poetry! So cool.  He is getting his ph.D. in math right now and he loooooves writing on his white board and I'm sure he'll love moving little magnets around Smiley

binary notebooks, ductape wallet and family guy notebook!  A boy's dream!

A snowman killer with instructions Smiley  He thought this was "cute", and definitely appreciates the sentiment as he HATES the snow.

5  Cable Mitten! in Knitting: Completed Projects by iluvmyti85 on: March 02, 2005 09:21:08 PM
This is my first post and third project that I've finished:

My mom dug up this pattern from my grandmother's desk.  She has Alzheimer's disease now, but she taught me how to knit the first time when I was about five.  Seventeen years later I actually figured out how to do it.  My grandmother used to make these mittens for her seven children, and this pair is for my sister.  I used Noru Kureyon with brown Cascade 220... I'm super excited because cables are easy to do!  It is freezing here in the northeastern US so I will be doing mittens for a while for family, but then I hope to do some sort of tank tops for spring/summer!
