11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Creepy Clown (Work-in-progress) on: March 24, 2013 11:15:46 AM
I really don't like clowns..especially evil creepy ones.

Here's a doodle I've been working on for a pal, only the initial outline at the moment, hoping that some colouring and tonal work will give it a bit more depth and the ultimate creeper look.

Doodled using Hb and B pencils, and 0.8 and 0.2 fineliners, on 200gsm watercolour paper. Using my own face as a reference o_O'

Sorry the image is a little bit wee on this

Any crits and feedback are welcome, always looking for ways to improve Smiley
As are any suggestions for newer pieces, love trying out new ideas.

My previous work can be found on my arty/crafty facebook and dotted about through-out craftster if anyone wished to have a wee snoop about.

Feels like i haven't posted in craftster for ages!, Sowwie!,
These wee doodles are A5 size and doodled using a google reference off my phone, a scrap of card that was lying about and a HB pencil.

House Sparrow

Long-Tailed Tit

Oh and i've also got a A4 unfinished Pet Portrait for my Mum off our English Springer Spaniel <3
Still a work in progress, but getting there.

Oh! Oh! Lookie! Lookie!.
To celebrate getting out off my artist block i treated myself to some new pencils...LOTS of new pencils.
Awfy excited to start using them Cheesy

Any ideas for doodles are welcome, would love to give some of your ideas a go Smiley

Hope you enjoy <3

13  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / New charm bracelets - Owls and Cassette tapes on: December 04, 2012 01:07:50 PM
I've gotten a lot of requests for bracelet ideas, and these are the most recent that i've worked on for a friend at Uni.
Each individual cassette tape is hand cut and drawn on, where as the little owls i made a model out of air-drying Fimo, then created a push mould as they had so much detail in them before doodling on them with gel pens.
Unfortunately will probably be the last post for a while, as it's the last few months before finishing my degree and graduation *Fingers crossed*
Quite proud of them, whatchas think?

Please excuse the rubbish quality of the photos, it's night time and my camera wasn't liking the low lighting.

Lots more off my doodles and makes are scattered about craftster and facebook if anyones wishing to snoop feel free ^_^
Any feedback/crits/requests/ideas are welcome Smiley
14  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Gummy bear charm bracelet - Update! on: October 30, 2012 08:36:02 AM
So a few folk may have seen my previous gummy bear charm bracelet.
I've played around with a few techniques and finally came out with something i'm happy with.
Fairly realistic, as i mindlessly tried to eat one this morning by accident, whoops!.
What do yas think? Smiley

2nd attempt - Pastel Rainbow

Final attempt - Translucent Rainbow

Previous attempt can be found somewhere in the depths of the craftster forums, or somewhere on my Art and Craft Facebook page along with my other art and craftiness
15  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Gummy bear charm bracelet on: October 16, 2012 06:41:31 AM
Long time no post, so, Hai der Cheesy
I made a little gummy bear out of air-drying fimo and created a little mould to cast a few for my charm bracelet.
The original was a little..uhrm wonky, so these all have a bit of "character"
Think to be a bit more accurate i'll be casting a real gummy bear in the future.
Also, got my new Translucent and glitter clays in the post, excited!. Will be remaking this once they arrive.

More of my makes can be found dotted across craftster and facebook if anyone wishes to snoop at my older works.

Any suggestions of what to make next are welcome, get some interesting ideas from you lot Smiley

16  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Roses Motorbike Crash Helmet on: October 16, 2012 05:30:56 AM
Hello, long time no post due to uni work getting on top of me,
But this is my second attempt at a bike lid, ridiculously fun!
Think it'll be the last in a while unfortunately, as it's a pricey hobby Sad
I used paint pens to make a base outline which i then coloured in with Sharpies later, then given a good layer off clear auto lacquer.
All free-handed, as any mistakes i made were permanent and wouldn't come off :|

My previous work is dotted around craftster and facebook etc if anyone wishes to snoop Smiley
Previous zombie themed helmet is here somewhere too

17  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Chocolates charm bracelet - Omnomnom! on: August 22, 2012 05:29:34 AM
Tried to peel myself away from gamer bracelets and try something a bit more general.
So i've given chocolate charms a wee try.
They were surprisingly simple thankfully!.
A little bit rustic but not too shabby for a first shot.
So many more ideas are snowballing now! Eee!.
If anyone wishes to throw some ideas my way i'd love to give them a shot Smiley

A lot of my work can be found on various other sites if yous are wishing to have a wee snoop, feel free as not all of it is on here ^_^

18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / The cake is a lie - Portal Inspired Charm Bracelet on: August 08, 2012 01:01:17 PM
I got asked by a friend to make them a portal inspired bracelet, as they're a massive gamer geek at heart.
So this is what i came up with. So ridiculously fiddly!.
These are actually the second attempt, as i'd previously stood on my baking tray and squished the last lot ;___;
Whatchas think guys?.

I've loads more bracelets and such on my other sites which can be found in my sig if anyone wishes to snoop for inspiration.
I'd love any suggestions for new themes if anyone wishes to volunteer any!
Cheesy
19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Zombie themed motorbike helmet on: July 28, 2012 04:53:52 AM
Recently bought a bike helmet after having a few spins on my pals and decided i was desperate to doodle on one.
Using sharpie markers and clear auto lacquer.
Quite proud of how this turned out ^_^' took around 16 hours in total

If anyone fancies a snoop more of my arty/crafty, check the sig' Smiley
20  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Pheonix Skateboard Deck Painting on: July 21, 2012 08:43:01 AM
I recently took appart an old skateboard that i'd kept from when i was younger.
Sanded it down and decided to doodle on it.
A few hours later, lots of painty messiness, glugging out of manky paint water instead of my tea, this was the final result.
Quite chuffed really as this was my first time touching acrylic paints since highschool a few years back.

Beginning

Work in progress pics.

Final piece.

As i'm more active until college kicks back in, more of my arty/crafty works can be found on various sites if anybody is wishing to snoop feel free to check them out Smiley

Hope you like!
p.s. Still to be varnished, need to go buy some soon.
