3  Butterfly Necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Genkii_x on: July 30, 2013 11:22:26 AM
So i've recently been working on a few bits and bobs with a bit more of a summery theme, seeing as we've (Scotland) had some very rare, but long awaited sunshine.

Apologies as i had been posting else where and totally forgot to update my craftster! Woops!.

I've also been busy with small exhibitions in the local area which is lovely Smiley

I won't upload everything onto here, as it is elsewhere on the web, and i wouldn't want to clog up the feed with super image heavy posts.

Also been making a few dinosaur inspired pieces

4  Hand Drawn Jewellery in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Genkii_x on: May 28, 2013 10:36:59 AM
As i discussed in my last post i've made it my mission to start using my hoard of craft and art supplies, in hopes of clearing some space and justifying more purchases.
(I'm addicted to the stuff!)
So this is week two and i've began working my way through a few different materials.
This has turned out ridiculously fun, and allowed me to play with my heat gun! hehe.
It's the simple things!.

Any suggestions, tips and comments are welcome as always ^_^

Roses

T-Rex skeleton
I'd seen something like this a long time ago, but it cost far too much to buy, silly amounts of pennies, so decided to make my own Smiley

I've seen a few wee pieces like this, with clay pieces and plush bodies, so decided to give my own a go.
Inspired by the flock of ravens that sit on the power lines cawing and wake me up every morning..

Might have another shot at these once i get more clay.

9  Cute cake slice charms in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Genkii_x on: April 23, 2013 12:49:13 PM
This is the latest bunch of polymer clay charms that i've been playing with.
First attempt using Liquid gel too, although not quite got the hang of making frosting look...well frosting-y, Looks more like runny icing haha.
More attempts soon, watch this space. Haha.

Shall be popping these onto a bracelet like my previous charmies, which is somewhere in the depths of the Craftster forums, and my facebook fan page, if anyone wants to snoop at my older attempts.

Any tips or suggestions for new charms are welcome Smiley

10  Funky Chunky Sock Monkey in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Genkii_x on: March 28, 2013 02:41:27 PM
I handmade this wee cutie today. First ever attempt at a sock mokey, and i wanna make more now! Need to raid the shops.

He's a little more quirky than your traditional sock monkeys, with his little rosy cheeks, black buttons and tuft of mo-hawk hair

This piece was made out of a worn but VERY well washed pair of socks, lightly stuffed with poly fill, given cute wee safety eyes and added extras secured with fabric glue. The entire piece was hand sewn. 28cm from head to toe, with a 16cm tail.

As this was my first attempt it has a few flaws, that i'll be working out with newer attempts. Planning on making army off these wee guys in the near future, like i did with my "Snuggle monsters", i'll try to remember to update on here and not just Facebook this time!
