Feeling jealous of all the gorgeous quilted Teesha Moore style bags and crafts, but scared of how much work it would be to make one yourself? Perhaps handsewing intimidates you, or the number of patches needed seems overwhelming? Or maybe you think you couldn't be "random enough" for a whole project. This is the swap for you! The swap requirements are to make 2 patches for your partner, with the option of up to three partners (to make a total of 6 patches). I'm giving you three weeks for crafting, so we can have a nice, easy, toe-dip-in-the-water swap to start off the year. Extras are not required or expected, because this swap is designed for low postage, especially internationally, but if you and your partner would like to include extras, you are welcome to work that out between yourselves - of course, we'd still love to see photos!

Video tutorials from Teesha Moore on how to make the patches:
Fabric Journals part 1 of 4Fabric Journals part 2 of 4Fabric Journals part 3 of 4Fabric Journals part 4 of 4Machine embroidery is an option for those of you lucky enough to have the facilities, though if you choose to go that route I would suggest embroidering the top panel before assembling, and then quilting around it.
And what can you do with all those patches once you have them? Well... sheepBlue has made
a notebook,
a bag,
another bag and some cuffs, (those cuffs would be a good starter project),
yet another bag,
again a bag,
the first bag,
a bird bag,
two more bags,
a Harry Potter bag, and
a pillow. She's not the only one getting busy though - TheSapphireMoon made a
TM stocking, Icekibby made a
Wedding album, and a
bag, and teachart has yet
another bag with some really neat details. TurtlesOnAFence made a
sketchbook cover, Phizzychick made
a bunch of albums and folders, Sharalee
made a purse, astormorray made
a bag that seems a little simpler in construction than some of the others, but still just as effective (if you are feeling intimidated by now - I know I am!) and kriSmith even made
a Nook cover.
craftylittlemonkey has made the
cutest little pouches and best of all, they only take 2 or 3 squares! So even if you only take one partner, and don't make any extra for yourself, you can still get a finished project together!
