I've a few things to post.

You've seen two of these little canvases, and the tiny weaving before, but I don't have a separate picture of the last two little canvases.

Two "My Stash" jars, a 600ml and a 250ml

A ribbed unisex beanie for a Foodbank's trivia night:

And a blue goldstone crocheted cuff for the same trivia night:

A pair of anti-tangle headphones in native Australia colours:

I've got a scarf and a hat in the works, but they are pretty time intensive, and school holidays are sucking a lot of my time right now.

Oooh, I want to join in! I've been doing this again recently! The person who runs the Art Abandonment website that was linked in the first post also has a Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/ArtAbandonment/) and I've been posting my stuff there. I do feel a little too pic happy there sometimes though.

I was in the Art Abandonment swap too!  Cheesy

I agree that the white is a bit stark on the last one.  You could water down a bit of distress ink and give it a light brush...although, I would hate to see the lovely brightness of the birds covered up...maybe you could carefully skip over them...it is still quite nice as is...do you have plans for them?

I was planning to skip around the birds. I don't have any distress ink though, is that a blackish colour? I could get much the same effect from extremely watered down black acrylic I think - my friend used to do that on his Warhammer miniatures, called a 'balck wash'.

The 4x4" ones I plan to leave around during the school holidays, as part of the Art Abandonment group on Facebook. The birds is almost 10" square, and I don't know what I'll do with it yet. I though perhaps I might sell it, but there's been no interest on Facebook at all in it's WIP state. If I do any markets when the weather warms up I might bring it with me. Most likely it'll sit in my market stock box until I need a birthday present for someone who likes that sort of thing lol. I don't really like the style enough to keep it, I just thought it would be fun to do lol.

Cool Pyramidhead FreakieGeekie - how big is it?

I made another little weaving, this one was done in the lid of an Altoid tin, and backed with black felt.

And I did some watercolor paintings, two 4x4" and one bigger one with preprinted black lines.

(it says "The Sun gave a shout of light and then, after several hours of thought, quietly retracted the statement")

What do you think of the birds? I can't tell if it's done or not. I'm toying with the idea of a very light drybrush of gold in the background, or painting the background a pale yellowish off white. But I don't want to do "too much" and spoil it. I love the drips - drips are my favourite part of watercolours, they remind me that beauty doesn't have to be perfect.

Maybe a light coffee/tea stain, or collage some old sheet music? I just don't like so much white.

Smeddley, I totally pinned that dragon top! Gorgeous!

rockmygypsysoul if you can't seal the holes where they get in under/outside your house, and there are gaps you can't fix or reach inside (we have an oversized hole for the gas pipe to our oven, I think a cat could get through it's that big!) then I recommend cotton balls soaked in peppermint essential oil. It's too strong a scent for their sensitive noses and they'll not come out of the walls. It won't get rid of mice if you have them already, but it will limit the ways they can get into your house.

That blanket is so colorful and cheerful mio! I'd want to keep it too!

I've been up to a few things.

I made some gift tags for our Winter Solstice presents - before the weaving actually, so I don't know why I didn't share them then!

And a super chunky beanie in school colours because the one I made him last year wasn't uniform colours, so they wouldn't let him wear it.

oh my gosh...that is so cute!  I can see making tiny rugs for doll houses, throws, wall hangings...

Is there a tutorial for it or do you just use matchbox to to weave?

It's not really a tutorial. But there is instruction on how to make a matchbox loom here. (http://tanglecrafts.wordpress.com/2010/11/29/handwoven-faux-postage/) And other places on the site have good tips on how to string and destring a loom, and how to finish off a complete piece.

Gotta love Pinterest!

I haven't done much lately at all, but I did discover matchbox weaving - as in using a matchbox as a the loom.

The results are unbearably cute:

that1girl I spy Bernat Mosaic (Calypso?)! They make the best rainbows and your hat looks great for cheering up Winter days. Also, I love that soft, fuzzy looking, pastelly rainbow in the baby hat and booties. What yarn is that?

Neat idea to link the Rav patterns, but now I'm afraid my queue is growing again lol!

Did you use the dremel to cut the legos?  I am afraid of my dremel...

I used it to drill the holes for the thread. I also used it to grind out the centre of a necklace for a project I didn't end up making for the cosplay.

I was scared of power tools, but it's so much fun! (Still scared of my glue gun though!)
