Tell you what, I'll share a photo of the engraving, if you can share a good one of the hoop - I couldn't for the life of me get the golden specks to show up!

And also here's one of the stamps stamped out - but you have to blame the messy results on my subpar ink.

I received my parcel from monkey_girl today.

I got a hoop with a quote (Rebel, Rebel I think?) and a bag with an embroidered Starman quote.

It's hard to see, but the hoop is on sparkly type fabric - I'll try and get a daytime shot for you tomorrow.
Here you can see the pretty star lining of the bag Smiley

monkey_girl said the bag was her first embroidery for a while, and it wasn't very good, but I think it looks great.
Thank you for my package monkey_girl, and thank you calixita for organising! I had such a great time creating cool things for this swap!

I thought you guys might appreciate the new shirt I got in my letterbox from RIPT Apparel today.

Ok, ok, you're right, I just want to brag/show off.

But can you blame me?

*whispers quietly into a bowl of rhododendrons* I shall take part. I request no wheat or wheat by-products, as live snakes will be stopped by Australian customs, and hinder your package making it's way to me.

(ooc) Live shows, omg you guys. Saw The Investigators last week and it was neat! Also, Dessa asked *me* for a photo after the show when she was signing my cd, and that was pretty cool.

I went as a hooded figure, and had an app on my phone playing static the whole time we were standing in the lobby before and after the show.

Great plates!  Shocked

Here's my fabulous haul!

The package came, colorful, and with a sneaky purple cat! (I love cats, which is sad, because I can't have one)
The card has the "Follow your heart" quote on it

TWO! pieces of A4 art - the purple one is amazing and magic and the other made me giggle - you'll see why when teaandcraft posts. It's much pretty than my dodgy phone camera makes it look.

Big Rico pizza stud earrings! No one does a slice like Big Rico, no one!
(I may have been so excited I posted about these on instagram lol)

And last, but certainly not least, dear listeners, a 3d art canvas with awesome details on every edge, and even the back!

I've linked the last picture to my photobucket account, so you can see it bigger, and truly appreciate all the little details, because it really is fab! The pocket watch on the side opens and has a quote inside and everything!

Thank you so much teaandcraft! This was a fabulous package, especially for a first time swapper! I just hope you like what I made you nearly as much as I love all mine things!

I sat down for TEN MINUTES to glance at Pinterest to get ideas for my final thing and fell into a TWO HOUR Pinterest spiral. And now I want to make ALL. The. Things!
But at least I am all warm and snuggly inside with the heater cranked, trying to kick this nasty cold, in my furry pants, perfect for Winter OR date nights.

Oh - I was wearing my night vale beanie to Free Comic Book Day, and Dean Rankine who does the Simpsons comics drew my head in a jar... with my beanie!

GALLERY!!!

Hello Listeners. We all want to show our appreciation for our favourite podcast, but the City Council's ordinance of not selling fanart makes it hard to get unique items unless we make them ourselves. So I was talking to John Peters (you know, the farmer) and he suggested we all get together and make things we can swap with each other! He thought we could make 3 points worth of things - that's three smalls OR a medium and a small OR a large, but you can go ahead and spoil your partner if you like.
To take part, stand next to the nearest hidden microphone in your home and screech loudly until the Sheriff's secret police burst in and make you stop, or otherwise fill in the questionnaire below and PM it to SilverMoon.

10  WTNV hat - perfect for the Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home in Crochet: Completed Projects by SilverMoon on: April 19, 2015 07:19:34 PM
I can't believe I forgot to post this when I made it. I followed Ellen Hyde's knitting pattern, but didn't do any math to convert it to crochet, so it was massive. Makes a good slouch hat though. Due to the oversizing, I had to add a ribbing to the bottom edge after the fact, to keep it in place.
Made from acrylic, I crocheted over three strands at once so there was no strands on the inside. Result is a super stiff, but wind and mild rain proof, hat that easily fits a ponytail or braid.
Or long, stinging, tentacles, if that's your thing.
