I've a few things to post.

You've seen two of these little canvases, and the tiny weaving before, but I don't have a separate picture of the last two little canvases.

Two "My Stash" jars, a 600ml and a 250ml

A ribbed unisex beanie for a Foodbank's trivia night:

And a blue goldstone crocheted cuff for the same trivia night:

A pair of anti-tangle headphones in native Australia colours:

I've got a scarf and a hat in the works, but they are pretty time intensive, and school holidays are sucking a lot of my time right now.

Cool Pyramidhead FreakieGeekie - how big is it?

I made another little weaving, this one was done in the lid of an Altoid tin, and backed with black felt.

And I did some watercolor paintings, two 4x4" and one bigger one with preprinted black lines.

(it says "The Sun gave a shout of light and then, after several hours of thought, quietly retracted the statement")

What do you think of the birds? I can't tell if it's done or not. I'm toying with the idea of a very light drybrush of gold in the background, or painting the background a pale yellowish off white. But I don't want to do "too much" and spoil it. I love the drips - drips are my favourite part of watercolours, they remind me that beauty doesn't have to be perfect.

Maybe a light coffee/tea stain, or collage some old sheet music? I just don't like so much white.

That blanket is so colorful and cheerful mio! I'd want to keep it too!

I've been up to a few things.

I made some gift tags for our Winter Solstice presents - before the weaving actually, so I don't know why I didn't share them then!

And a super chunky beanie in school colours because the one I made him last year wasn't uniform colours, so they wouldn't let him wear it.

I haven't done much lately at all, but I did discover matchbox weaving - as in using a matchbox as a the loom.

The results are unbearably cute:

I hurt my shoulder this week, so I haven't been making much at all (it's been three days - feels like three months, and the mess level in the house looks like three years!) I can still manage a hug for AIMR though - future hugs, from the other side of the world, so they are extra special.

I thought I'd share with you my first attempts with my new favourite toy, while I'm stuck not making. I'm so grateful for the doorstop challenge, it really got me going!

The top, burned part, of DP's Dresden Files cosplay staff

Some kitchen utensils

Two different Supernatural blocks:

Some chopsticks for the shop

A mother's day present for my mum (woodburning and watercolours)

And I also broke out the other unused doorstop, a dremel, and made some party favours for Master Ten's Lego Movie party

I have a pile of plain wood things calling my name - just have to let this shoulder clear up a little more first!

I'm going to post a longer post later, including all the things I've made with one of my doorstops (wood burning is So. Much. Fun!) but for now, a quick post while the kids put on pjs, to explain why I've been MIA so much these last two months:

I got new headphones, so I tangleproofed them:

.

Just single crochet around the cord in rainbow yarn.

And I made a pair of crocodile stitch booties, because my local yarn things charity needs baby stuff. Then I had to figure out how to do crocodile stitch top down, so I could make a matching hat.

Photodump time!  Cheesy

This was finished in February, but it seems I forgot to share a photo with you: My second full length Doctor Who scarf

Then there was this owl headband:

It must have been missed in the lead up to Pi Day - I was super busy then.

I had a comission for five pocket dragons

I made a puppet glove...

and a pair of baby booties for a baby shower

And three more dragons for my kids teachers to hand out as bribery rewards

I've been making lots of hats too, for my Nerd Wars dissertation, but I'll share them all in one hit, at the end of next month.

I realised I forgot to share the stamp I carved, that I used to make tags for all the pi I dropped around town:

My final partner in the hand carved stamp swap received, so I can show off Tongue

(pinching elyxandra's photo because I don't have a good shot of the Finn stamp, hope she doesn't mind!)

I also "tested" that quote stamp on some paper I'd watercoloured. One piece was trimmed and turned into the card I sent with her package, the rest I've kept for now. One is in a frame on my desk - I really need to recarve this stamp for me, I love it that much!

I received both my sets of stamps!

From kosmicgirl, an epic Smaug, a "like a sir", very cool ampersand, and a sweet moon and star. I also got one of those neat steampunk cards - with a familiar smiley pencil stamp on the back! Glad it's already being put to use!

Then from elyxandra:

A power button (love it!), geeky glasses, a fire breathing dragon, and the Toothless crest from Hiccup's shield in How to Train your Dragon! I don't know how she knew that this house is full of fans, who own the movie, seen both seasons of the show, and even went to see the arena spectacular, but we love it! My kids are all fighting over it, and want me to stamp it on everything.

Can never have to many dragon stamps, so thank you both - I love them all!
