11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Rockabilly, Pin-Up, Retro Swap Anyone? on: May 05, 2011 05:59:57 PM
Of course I'm still interested! =]

I'd like to make a clothing item/probably will, be it a retro dress, skirt, pants, or a shirt. I've been sewing for about 6 years, so I'd like to think I'm somewhere between intermediate and advanced in my sewing abilities. So hopefully I'll get someone who wants handmade clothes. ^_^

Thank-you!  Q-Tips, wooden skewers, and the wrong end if a paint brush are very helpful tools to get nice clean lines.  Smiley

That would be great! I looked around and found a page with organizing a swap info on it, it seems pretty straight forward.  Smiley

I was thinking about maybe having sign-ups mid or end of May (if I've found a definite organizer)? What do you all think?

I was wondering about that too, but I think I added some of the things I'm good at/prefer to do in my questionaire anyways. =]

Thank-you, I think that's part of why I picked that design.  Smiley

Thank-you all. I was thinking about hanging in in the kitchen at some point, but I'm not sure right now. =P

So I absolutely love designer vinyl toys, and after I watched a special on them on tv I got very inspired to paint my own. I didn't quite know where to start at first so I started looking around for blank toys, and wasn't too happy with most of the ones available, and then I went to Micheal's craft store and they had their Valentines decor out and I happened upon a blank bear with some stickers and a marker. I thought to myself this will be perfect, so I bought it, without a design in mind. It sat in a box of supplies for a few weks, and then I saw an awesome Sunny Buick design, and realized I had seen a t-shirt design that would look neat on the body, and mixed in a few of mt own ideas. And it was complete!  Grin

Sorry about the sunbleached-ness of the photos.
Thanks for looking!

I love your style, it's so unique and playful.  Smiley The first two are my favourite, I think when you've got your etsy shop up and running you've already got me as a customer. =P
