1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Rockabilly Heart Apron (Pic Heavy & WIP) on: March 15, 2014 01:28:10 PM

I love participating in gift exchanges. Recently, I tried my hand at the Reddit Ape Exchange.  For my match I made a reversible, kawaii rockabilly apron with a custom sugar candy skull design on one side and retro polka-dot with cherries combo on the reverse. Finished it off with a couple heaping handfuls of ruffles and Ta-Da!

If you would like to see more of my work just run an internet search for my username. : D

3  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Scaled Greybeard Cloaks(Pic Heavy -includes WIP) on: November 01, 2013 04:48:37 PM
While playing Skyrim I became fascinated by the greybeards and their cloaks. The first cloak I made was a female version with the key hole much higher and was made from remnant fabrics. These awe inspiring creations feature dozens of scales adorning the outside along with two large stealth scale pockets.

Here's a couple of construction pics. : D  This particular cloak took over two months to construct but I wasn't working on it day after day, I've been able to cut done the production time tremendously.

Here is the grey scaled greybeard cloak that had a satin paisley lining.  This is the lightest cloak I've made to date.

And for the construction of that cloak.

More cloaks and robes to come including a scaled leather greybeard cloak! : )
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Painting an Adventure and Wallposters - Progress Shots on: September 22, 2013 09:26:46 AM
Made a gift set of posters and a personalized paitning for a friend.  I even threw in the cat and gave him a special ability, the ability to melt zombies with rainbows of course. : ) The best part is that I was able to make this gift because of an nostalgia exchange I participated in through Reddit, where my amazing match sent me a set paints.

For the wall posters I made sure that each were personalized for both of them.  For my wood burning friend a dragon breathing fire seemed fitting and for her competitive bike riding wife - a yoda with a bike.

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments.  Yeah I tried to put a lot of thought into the gifts.

Wow I had never heard of Zeke the wonder dog.  That's awesome, the dog on the field now almost feels purposeful. : D

I had seen posts here and there about gift swaps but I want's sure where they were being hosted.  I'll defiently look into that.

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Animal Portiats & Univeristy Pride - Reddit Gift Exchange (progress shots) on: July 20, 2013 12:52:25 PM

A friend recently told me about Reddit. While lurking, I discovered a giant gift exchange / secret Santa community. From time to time I like to participate in exchanges and decided to give it a try. It was super fun and now I'm truly addicted, so for my second exchange I decided to throw in a little oil painting. It is of my giftee's two rabbits and her dog sporting the Spartan helmet on the 50 yard line of her college's football stadium. To continue the theme her pets spell out an 'S'.

First off, here is a combo of progress shots.

The finished piece.  It is 8.5 x 11 on heavy linen paper.

With the painting I also sent a Shirt and Bandana which I am very proud of.  I'm hoping it is okay to post a pic of each here as well.  Undecided

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Aprons! on: July 20, 2013 11:36:43 AM

So I went through an apron phase where I made enough aprons to clothe me and everyone I know....  and then some. The above and below apron was actually my first ever and like most my aprons it is reversible.  In fact, now that I think about it all my aprons, but the one I use is reversible.... Wonder how that happened. So here is a massive Apron Drop (kind of like a bass drop, but friendlier). : D

Then there is the Pink Satin Reversible Apron.

A Holly & Lace apron for my grandmother.

A couple of Blue Half Aprons made on request for another family friend.

Well it seems I'm missing some so I suppose that is all for now. Smiley
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Army Sweat Set -into- Amry of Assassin's Creed Hoodlet on: July 20, 2013 10:56:28 AM

When your entire family knows you sew sometimes large quantitys of fabrics and clothes just tumble your way. This project was constructed from a brand new set of grey sweats with the words army printed on both. I knew I had to make something assassin's creed for ages, so I got to creating. : D  For the red parts I found a t-shirt and shanked it up.

And so two days later my quest was complete and I have new gear to strut around town in. : D  Here is the finished piece with me cropped out as is standard.  I have a couple of other cute upcycles that I will try to upload soon as well.

10  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: A poodle moth! on: July 20, 2013 10:02:18 AM
Oh that's so adorable, and so much more personable than any real moth could ever be! I just want to put it in my pocket and take it on an adventure.
