1  Re: Givers and Needers Round 9 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by BroadwayBound313 on: April 02, 2011 09:05:40 PM
Well I got home from getting blood work taken today, complaining about how you'd think a place that takes blood all day would have better band aids (honestly Cheesy) when what did I find on my porch?

Of course I started singing my standard 'I've Got a Package' song, including a special verse about it coming all the way from Canada and eventually I was able to get inside and get the package open, my sister right behind me wanting to see what goodies "we'd" gotten.

First, the fabulous fabric. My sister wants me to make her a headband out of the zebra. I love it all and it's great for starting me off.

There was awesome paper in here and I can't wait to figure out something to do with it. It's all so pretty.

Everything else was fabulous too. My sister ran off with the yarn before I could get a picture of it but I love the home made iron ons and I plan on making home made feather pens with the feathers. Everything is fabulous. My sister wants me to make her the dress from the pattern that you sent me (can you see a cycle here?).

Thank you so, so, so much. I love it all.

My package from Ivagrovegirl got here today and it was fabulous.

Here's the whole lot. Three books, a cross stitched bookmark, bag and hoop.

Here's a close up of the cross stitching on the bookmark and on the bag. The bookmark has the beginning of the Mark Twain quote stitched into it. She also cross stitched my name on this tote bag which will be perfect for carrying all of my school things when I go back and forth to Cleveland.

This is probably my favorite. I was hoping to get my first hoop in this swap and I did. It's so gorgeous. Now I just have to find the perfect spot to put it.

And last but not least, the books. First out of the box, The Princess Bride. I love this book but I don't have a copy of my own and now I do. Next I found The World House by Guy Adams. I started this at the doctors office and it looks like it's going to be a great read. Last but not least, Bizarre Books: A Compendium of Classic Oddities. This book is completely hilarious. It's literally a list of hilarious book titles.

Thanks so much Ivagrovegirl for the awesome swap. I hope you like what I've sent you.   Cheesy

3  Criminal Minds Swap Anyone?? in New Swap Theme Ideas by BroadwayBound313 on: March 28, 2011 10:03:44 PM

Would anyone be interested in joining a Criminal Minds swap? I'm only 17 but I'd be willing to help organize things with someone if they were willing to run it.

Put my package out in the mail today but here's a little sneak preview for my partner.

I received an amazing package from CleanFeelin today and my sister got to stand there and basically call me a dork because I was so excited.

The whole group. There's a little bit of everything, which is exactly what I needed. Two quilting books, so fabulous yarn, a beading magazine, beads, cute buttons, stickers, paper, paints and a new sketchbook.

Some of the beads I received. I would show the rest of them but my cat decided it was play time and I didn't want to risk losing them.

A new set of oil paints. I think there's eighteen in the pack. And some new brushes.

The quilting books and the sketch pad. I needed that because I was just reaching the end of my other sketchbook.

Great scrapbook paper that I'll probably use for card making, and some great cardstock.

Thanks so, so, so much CleanFealin. I love my package!
