I sent this hoopla to smileyyogini with her favorite quote. It was from the Box of Color Swap. Here is the link to the gallery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.phptopic=431624.msg5165513#msg5165513

Thank you all so much for your help. I'm still not sure how I am going to quilt it, but I'm almost done with the top. I think it was pretty easy to do. I just didn't enjoy all of the ironing Tongue. Here's a picture of all the blocks before I sewed them all together. (Please ignore the blue sheet, I just didn't want to put the blocks directly on the carpet).

I am so happy that you liked your box of purple smileyyogini! And I am in love with all of the goodies you sent!
(I'm sorry for the bad cell phone pictures, I forgot my camera)
First up is a group shot of everything

I received some awesome socks, that I had on my pinterest, with a cable knit pattern on the them and a hat that was also on my pinterest! I am in love with this hat! It is so nice and warm and soft.

Plus she also sent a really cool dream catcher! I really like the lace and the feathers on it.

smileyyogini sent some awesome fillers! A blue pen with a cute little owl on it, blue chipboard letters with a metallic print on them, some blue flower stickers (which will be great for making cards) blue mesh flowers, and a sparkly blue tiara (my cousin grabbed it as soon as I was done taking pictures Tongue )

Thank you so much smileyyogini! I love everything so much, and I had a great time with this swap.

I'm so sorry, I was away from home for a few days, which is why I haven't posted any pictures yet. I received the beautiful eggs from rockingbearranch! I can't wait to decorate the unpainted ones. Plus she also sent some angora, some toy soldiers, and a pom-pom. And it all came in a really cool box that I am going to find something crafty to use it for. The one egg had some damage, but most of the painting is still there. I think I might use some air dry clay to make it solid.

I received an awesome tote bag from ActsofCraftiness! Now I'll be able to carry all my groceries from Walmart back to the dorm with out having to squash everything into my back pack. Plus she also sent some post-it notes and a tiny card. (I love tiny cards!)

I received from both Avesthel and Grab a coffee today.

First up is a beautiful journal in my favorite colors from Avesthel. I absolutely love the swirly design on the front. I'm going to be using this journal as my new planner Cheesy. Thanks again Avesthel!

Next up is some gorgeous jewelry from Grab a coffee.
8 pairs of beautiful felt earrings with several necklace pendents. (I'm going shopping this weekend to find an outfit to match the grey and purple ones Tongue)

Plus 6 pairs of polymer clay and bead earrings. I love the small detail on the turquoise and yellow earrings.

Along with 5 bracelets to mix and match with the earrings.

And some cute little felted dogs.

I put one on my key chain Smiley

Thank you ladies both so much!

7  Would you recommend this for a beginner? in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by EmilyXOrange on: February 10, 2014 09:35:46 AM
I am trying to make a Mother's day gift for my mom, and at first I was going to crochet her a blanket, but that didn't go so well. So before I buy the supplies for this quilt, would you recommend this pattern for a beginner? Thanks Smiley
Its the Shortcake pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.
