is there a pattern for a beret that doesnt involve knitting in the round? ive made hats but havent quite learned how to do that yet. thanks muchly

Hi... I knit hats all the time without using circular needles. Just cast on the stitches that you need and knit away. I usually slip the first stitch of each row to make a clean edge, so that it makes it easier to seam the hat. But I've made three of the berets and my daughter and her friends love them.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I can now buy Cotton Ease.... so what do i make with it? on: April 06, 2007 10:08:25 PM
I just got a couple of skeins in Taupe and plan to make a cabled purse for Spring. I like the colors but then I still have a ton of the bright color selection that was Cotton Ease before the discontinued it the first time.
