1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Mouse House (pics) on: August 17, 2014 02:12:41 PM
I saw the little stump fairy house posted here and realized I never shared my Mouse House! Its a little dollshouse that's sort of built into a hollowed out log/tree stump that I made from scratch. I used Paper Mache hat boxes as a base and built the walls from foam core. The bark is made from lightweight plaster and a special concoction I created from various products to make it super light yet incredibly strong and sturdy. Then Of course I hand painted it to get it to resemble tree bark as closely as possible. I think it turned out pretty good! It has three levels which are all stackable and detachable for easy decorating and general mobility. Still working on a way to put lights in it, if I ever get it right, I'll post pics of it lit up.

I was also experimenting/getting the hang of needle felting and I made a tiny mouse to live in it!  Enjoy!

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Weeglins Update! on: May 10, 2014 01:27:15 PM
I made a design update to my Weeglins' boots! I finally figured out a way to make more realistic boot soles, I was even able to incorporate my Weeglins logo into it. It came out just as planned. I use Sculpey Bake & Bend, it works perfectly and it bake semi pliable, very similar to rubber! Enjoy!

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My interactive 3 Little Pigs Playset Prototype (pic heavy) on: October 30, 2013 08:54:25 AM
So, I 've been working on a new idea for a fully interactive 3 Little Pigs Play set. This is a completely rough version and I have a few kinks to work out in the design but it came out great so far. First I made the 3 little pigs and the Big Bad Wolf out of soft durable fleece. They actually came out better than I expected!  The three houses are interactive in that you can access each house and play with them as doll houses from the back and add furniture and accessories. The doors are hinged too. The straw and the stick house are cool because when you pop the roof off the walls collapse creating a "blown down house" after the wolf's huffing and puffing and the houses get larger as you progress in the story to fit 1-two-then all three piggies in the big brick house! The brick house does not collapse but it is two stories with a rope ladder and it opens like a book from the back  so you can play inside! It came out so well and I have gotten great reviews from the two special little boys I gifted it to. They played themselves to sleep! This has given me an idea to make more little houses for my Winston hamster mini plushies so stay tuned! I'm currently working on a tree house playset!

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My little Ice Cream Aliens The Gelatomin on: October 01, 2013 11:09:01 AM
Just began to work on a fresh batch of these old guys for the holiday season and I realized I never shared them here!

They are called "Gelatomin"

Gelatomin are chilly little aliens from a delicious planet in a far off galaxy. In order to hide their true identity, they disguise themselves as yummy ice cream sundaes. They explore the world when no one is looking, observing and taking notes to send back to their home planet. As soon as they hear someone coming, they hop into their nifty little waffle-cone bowls and pretend to be tasty.

Gelatomin are generally available in three different flavors, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry with either hot fudge, or strawberry sauce to top them with, and every one has a plump cherry to finish them off.  However I have decided to make brand new flavors this year so stay tuned, I'll post them when they are done! Every Gelatomin comes with his/her very own detachable waffle cone bowl too! All hand-made. Theyre about four inches tall by four inches wide

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My New Siamese Cat prototype on: July 20, 2013 12:42:14 PM

Meet Saimei, The lead character to my series of books I'm working on. Tried to simplify a Siamese cat to its essence and exaggerate the features to make him toonish and anime-esque. came out pretty good!

Much more to come!

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / More Monster-Plants! on: April 27, 2013 07:42:58 AM
I made up a few more of my Trap-Daisies! (bellis Tendiculae) I decide to add some superfine glitter to make them sparkle in the sunlight and add hand formed light weight teeth rather than forming them with layers of fabric paint.

Bellis Tendiculae, commonly known as the Trap-Daisey is a vicious predator with a voracious appetite for flesh. They are perfect for protecting sensitive documents and keeping unwanted people away from unattended desks and work-spaces.

The Trap-Daisey is both hand and machine sewn. It is adorned with high quality superfine glitter for maximum shimmer when the light hits it. The stem is made of sturdy, flexible aluminum wire and the tendrils and tongue are also wired and opposable. This specimen it 14 inches tall. The pot is also handmade felt with a foam core to maintain its shape. Its weighted with gravel to keep it from tipping.

Trap Daisies are a great addition to a toy collection, dcor for a kids room, bookshelf, or a whimsical desk ornament.

Hope you guys like em!
