1  Re: MYB Round 16 Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by FrankSpinello on: May 08, 2013 03:31:05 PM
This is my ace parcel from Nolansmomster. I actually received it a while back but stuff happened and I have only just been able to unravel it. I almost didn't want to it was so pretty

and so neat!!

Here;s everything I found inside the ball (except for a delicious home made lip balm and some more chocolate - I got hungry as I was unraveling)

The jewelry looking thingy is actually a cardigan/sweater clip from my pinterest, IT'S PERFECT!

Close ups of cute mustache mini hoop, flower head band and locally made hand cream (which is the best ever!)

These are magnetic owl dishes that will come in very handy

Hand made polymer clay buttons, fabric covered buttons and totally cool looking buttons

My favorates of the supplies

And COW PIE!!

This is just perfect; I have a 3 year old who has an obsession with poo. This cracked him up
And it's so tasty (I never thought I'd say that about cow pie, or as we say over here cow pat)

Thank you Nolansmomster! I love everything. So sorry it has taken me so long to post these pictures.
P.s The boy loves his fire engine !!

I'm actually rather sad the swap is done - it was so great seeing everyone's creativity with their boxes.  I would love to be in another swap like this!
I second this.
Here are the pictures of the excellent box avocadoelderado sent me. I am so sorry it has taken me this long to post them.
She went with my DEVO theme

For those not familiar with DEVO, this is a power dome  Grin

Thank you for all the lovely stuff. I had a blast.

So many beautiful and useful things. Lots of trimmings and some excellent stained glass stickers (did you colour them yourself?). Loads more stickers, stamps, lovely papers, a patch, Teesha Moore patch (not pictured, now my camera is working I'll take some shots and post them shortly), ATCs.......There's actually too much stuff to list but my favorates are the little bird charm and the blue and white trim

From SonjaBoo

Again, lots of really useful stuff. Really cute cake stickers, emphera, ribbons, a bookmark and a wicked Teesha More Patch (her first circular one which she says she learned how to do french knots on  Grin)

And my favorates from the bunch

I totally love the girl scout badge (how would one earn one of these?)

Thanks again to the both of you and sorry it has taken me so long to post these pictures

5  zombie in a tin in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by FrankSpinello on: December 24, 2011 04:25:10 AM
My sister asked me to make a Christmas gift for her to give to her boyfriend. They live in Loverpool and he's always saying that there are loads of zombies walking around. This is what I came up with

The tin is an old altoids tin covered in tissue paper. I hope he likes it  Grin

6  pigeons in Needlework: Completed Projects by FrankSpinello on: December 23, 2011 05:48:57 PM
My friend Erica and I went camping years ago. As we were sitting in the tent we could hear some pigeons. Erica told me how, when she was at school, her friend said that whenever she heard a pigeon cooing it sounded like it was saying 'my toe hurts Betty, my toe' over and over again. Erica said that from that moment on every time she heard a pigeon she thought the same thing. For years she has heard pigeons complaining about their toes hurting and who the heck is Betty?
Obviously I can't help hearing the same thing every time I hear a pigeon. Next time you hear one I reckon you'll get it too  Wink
Anyway, I stitched this up for her birthday. She's quite creative as well, so I just left it as small panel for her to use as she pleases.

7  needle felted fairies in Felting: Completed Projects by FrankSpinello on: December 23, 2011 05:28:56 PM
I've been wanting to give felting a go for a while now but never come across any roving to buy. So when I saw some in a shop recently whilst on holiday, I just had to buy it and cart it back with me (along with a felting needle which kept getting lost in my hand bag)
I got a mixed colours bag and just started messing around. I have become quite addicted. I love the way you can kind of sculpt with it.
Fairies usually aren't my thing but the colours seemed suited to them

Wee gnomey man

They are all about 3 inches tall. I love to have the time to make a 5ft gnome Grin

8  Octopus pendent in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by FrankSpinello on: December 23, 2011 05:11:32 PM
I recently made this octopus pendent for the spell my name swap.

I didn't want to put a hole in it so I ended up embedding a safety pin into the back of it to thread a chord through.
It was sculpted in one colour and then painted with various things including acrylics, nail varnish and pens.
Have a lovely weekend  Smiley

O.K so here are the pictures of the ace things I got from Baloo. Again so sorry for the delay (I had words with little laptop and she's seems to be in a better mood - for the time being)
Here's the lot

C- for chocolate cake pops (not pictured = can you guess why? yum yum)
A- for a jar of air with pincushion (extra handy)
T- for trains for my son, he's mad on them (picture coming up)
H- for felt Houses (pinterest inspired Smiley)
E- for Ed Hardy candle
R- for red bow hair band
I- for indigo glass beads (love these, I can see me hoarding them for years not wanting to waste them  Roll Eyes)
N- for Namco-pacman hoopla (again from my pinterest)
E- for owl earrings (my Mum will be getting these for Christmas, unless I change my mind and keep them which is very likely)

Close up of hoopla, the first I have received and a very good start too.

Owl earrings...

Boy boy with his new train (he really does love it, ignore the expression)

And a gratuitous cute shot, I actually haven't been able to wear the headband yet as babyface has hidden it

Worth the wait I think x

10  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap ROund 73 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by FrankSpinello on: August 17, 2011 04:27:07 PM
Yey! I received a brilliant package yesterday, check these out. TOTALLY ACE baby trainers/sneakers. Thanks to the wonderfully talented A2K my new niece/nephew will be the coolest baby in town.

And not forgetting all the pretty glass beads and felt AND the freezer paper AND rotary cutter.
I love how you've passed on the rotary cutter from another swap, maybe I'll do the same. It will be the most well traveled little cutter in the world  Smiley

Thank you so much A2K, you made my week! Grin
