I just saw this and unfortunately the photos are no longer available. It says "Photobucket bandwidth exceeded" - could you show me the photos through a message?

All fixed up and picture pretty!

yay!!! so, i really did make one!!! i just finished a few minutes ago. this is for my friend.

thanks for the tutorial! it was perfect. very clear. it was even fun to make! although i don't think my fabric is as cute as yours. i wanted something more geometric but i think the cranes on that look pretty neat too. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Oh and I apologize for the bandwidth exceeded bit. I'm working on it now. It will be up and ready soon.

i've always made fun of fannypacks, but i have to admit, this one is totally cute.
one question though: where did you find the yellow and bee fabric?

Thank you! I live in the land of cute fabric (Japan) so that's where I scored the buzzy bees. I know...I'm very lucky!

I heart your fanny pack. I've got a hip sack of my own that I got at Smokinglily here in Victoria which is a bunch of crafty local ladies making beautiful products. They've also got a holster which is too cool.

www.smokinglily.com that's my pal Alex doing most of that sexy modeling on their site.
That's a great site! I really dig that holster...(now I gotta go hide my credit cards).

Thanks so much everyone!  Cheesy Please post pictures of your hipslingers if you make! I just got back from vacation and it came in quite handy! Even got to shake it on the dance floor! Yay!

Hello hello! Thanks for all the nice comments! The tute is in the works right now! It's taking longer than I thought. But I promise detailed instructions (hip hip) and pictures (hooray)!

That is too awesome! Bring on the fanny packs! lol. I wore one to Carowinds and I felt so out of place! They are so much easier to keep up with! I think they deserve more respect...at least the better looking ones do. Tutorial! Tutorial! Did you embroider the deer on the flap your self?
Yes, it does deserve more respect! I wish I could take credit for that deer but sadly no...it's an iron on.

Hehe, you're all making me laugh with your "fanny packs". Here, "fanny" is a somewhat rude word but probably hasn't been heard since the 80s! We call them "bum bags".

I like your "hipslinger" though!
Heh heh...I know! I had an Aussie roommate who would die laughing everytime I said "fanny".

Thanks, gals! I'll work on a tute this weekend since I have time. So hopefully by next week it will be up and you can all begin the revolution!

Thank you! Ok. I will start the task of making a tutorial. But really it wasn't too difficult to make. If you're fairly good with a sewing machine then you'll find it easy. (I'm still somewhat of a beginner, too.) So if you're lookin at it and trying to figure it all out on your own and have any questions feel free to ask me.

honorablemention: you should check out the girls in Japan. Side ponytails all over the place! Seriously! But not the high-up-in-the-air kind. More lower to the neck. I say rock whatever style you want. I accidentally got a mullet about a year ago. I think the stylists were goin mullet crazy or something. I cringed at first but then figured...eh, what can you do?
