i made this blanket for a colleague of my dad's. i've never made anything like this before and i don't know what to suggest for if she wants to wash it. all the colours are the same brand and are 100% acrylic. the second picture is the instructions on the paper label round the wool when i bought it. so what should i suggest?

For my first project I just wanted something simple. Well one colour anyway. This was the first thing I found that I wanted to do. It's my Zodiac sign, Capricorn. Since I took this picture, I've added a really simple border which is just like this - - - - -. Sorry I don't know what any of the stitches are called 



The second is a bookmark (that isn't bookmark shaped) for my boyfriend for our anniversary. It has the day we first started going out on one side



The third was the url to my tumblr. I was going to have it centred, but I did the letter N wrong, and rather than unpick it I just tried to work out where I'd have to start the next row for it to look right but it went wrong so I just arranged it differently. I can't decide if I'm happy with the way it turned out


And a couple of hours ago I finished this last one. Some friends that are twins are turning 40 soon, and I was planning on making them one each and maybe framing it, but I can't tell if I like it enough to do another one because the floss kept snagging and just going weird, so I think I'm just going to mount it on a card. I got the flower and the numbers from a chart but they weren't together. I kind of just put them on top and hoped for the best. I don't think they look really like flowers though


Overall, I'm pretty happy with my first few projects

So yeah this is the first dress I've made from scratch, I've done some not so successful recons but this is the first thing I'm actually quite happy with, and reminds me of minnie mouse



Sorry for the crappy pictures but I didn't have anyone to take them for me so I had to use my phone which isn't always that good. I think it look better with a belt, plus I like to cover up a little of the stitching
