1  UNITED STATES / Hawaii / Photography Schools on: July 25, 2006 07:33:05 PM

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for schools/unis/colleges that teach photography in Hawaii.

We're gonna be eloping about this time next year, most likely on Oahu (from Australia). As it'll just be the two of us, it'll only be a small, short ceremony. I would still like to get some photos though, and am hoping to find a photography/art student who might be interested in taking some for us.

Most photographers seem to have 3 (or more) hourly packages... 3 hours would be way
too long! And I'm not sure if I should trust those officiant sites that include a ceremony & photographer - are they really photographers or just the officiant's wife/husband/cousin/uncle/whatever taking some happy snaps?

Anyone know of a talented student who could spare an hour or 2 to take some nice, artistic photos?

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Custom Printing Fabric - website? on: July 05, 2006 05:51:49 PM
HELP!  Cry

My computer got a virus a few months ago. Which meant I ended up having to wipe it and re-install Windows and I lost all my favourites & bookmarks in IE.

I am trying to find a website where you could have fabrics custom printed. Pretty sure it was US based.

From memory, it had a bright pink or maybe red background and samples. There were these dresses made from fabric that had really bright, like fluro green, pink & yellow, backgrounds with some kind of black newspaper print or some other images on it; kinda 80's style? They were on the front page of the site.  Undecided I know that's vague, but I think you'd know if you've seen it.

I am pretty sure I came across this site via a link somewhere on craftster... or maybe linking through a few people's blogs in their craftster sigs. I'm not really sure, but I know someone out there must've seen this before.

OR if you know where I can have a small lot done for a custom fabric print, let me know!

....let's hope I didn't just dream this  Embarrassed
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Non-woven Polypropylene Tote bags? on: March 15, 2005 09:32:01 PM

Firstly I just wanted to say how glad I am to have found this site - it's awesome. Big thanks to Pink Minx referring to it on the Vogue forums.

Anyway, I am trying to source some bags to do some screenprinting & embroidery on, but I am after a particular type. They are non-woven polypropylene tote or shopping bags.

These are used heaps in Australia at the supermarkets, not sure if they're popular overseas? They're good, except they're only in green & they're already printed on.

The ones I like are more like the ones at

Has anyone seen them around ANYWHERE? The only places I've found online are promo stores that want you to order about a bazillion, which I can't. I think I would only able to do about 25 at a time max & I'd prefer to go for different colours.
