1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Intarsia Weaving tips... on: December 23, 2011 04:44:43 PM
Does anybody have any good tips on weaving in the ends of an intarsia piece?  I'm working on my first sweater (dinosaur on the front) and I'm nervous about all my ends coming undone...and suggestions would be helpful!

thanks! Smiley

I had a good friend who passed away several years ago, and I had been meaning to do this painting of her ever since.  Finally got around to it this weekend, and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.  Acrylic on 20x16 canvas.

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / White Sox Painting on: April 03, 2011 07:20:51 PM
2nd part of my baseball themed commission...not a Sox fan, but it's better than the Cubs Wink  Sorry about the glare, didn't get a great pic before it was picked up.

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Cubs Painting on: March 31, 2011 06:16:14 AM
As a die-hard Cardinals fan, doing this painting made me die a little inside, but it was a commission for a friend.  At least it's out of the house Smiley  Even if it is Cubs, I like the way it turned out:

haven't posted on this board yet, just wanted to share a few of my favorite cakes I've made Smiley
SpongeBob and Gir were both made using fondant, and Elmo and the Dead Bear were just iced.  Enjoy!

Finally got all four Ninja Turtles done! (using atsuko's pattern)  Just in time for Christmas!

9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Amigurumi Batman on: December 10, 2010 11:04:41 AM
first post...hope everything works okay!  I loved atsuko's patterns for the Ninja Turtles, and when a friend wanted a crocheted batman, I decided to use the same pattern (with different colors, of course)  Pretty happy with the way it turned out!
