1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Boyfriend Valentines Day Present - HELP!! on: January 07, 2011 07:39:46 PM
you could do the giant obnoxious candy heart that i did for my ex last year lol.

its cute, fun, but just big and sweet enough to be left on his front door step and make him feel special :-)

there are many variations on the poem, but heres one:

My Dearest Sugar Baby,
Happy Valentine's Day! May this bouquet bring you a
Snicker as you read my message. You are my
Bit-O-Honey, you are worth more than a 100 Grand to
me, I get Goo Goo eyes every time I see you. There are
more stars in my eyes for you than in the Milky Way.
Our Good-N-Plenty life together is like shopping on 5th
Avenue on Pay Day. I know I can be Carefree with you.
As you know, I love you Now and Later and I wish you
Mounds of Almond Joy on this Valentine's Day.

Hugs and Kisses,
<your name>

And here is a pic of mine (sorry its from my Twitter):
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / My Copy-Cat Bottle of Love :-) on: January 07, 2011 07:29:21 PM
Soo... I got started on my Valentine's Day present reeeally early this year. I decided to copy sweetlullaby's idea (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249531.0) of making a bottle full of love.

Instead of Love Quotes, I filled it with reasons that I love my boyfriend & lyrics from songs we've dedicated to eachother :-)

Each little scroll was just made from a sheet of computer paper that I cut into 6 pieces. Then I tied a little piece of red curling ribbon left over from Christmas around it.

I removed all of the labels from the bottle, and made my own in Photoshop. My bubbie's favorite wine is Cab Sauv, so that was a tiny nod to him :-)

I think it came out pretty cute :-) The label on the back of the bottle is a tiny bit too big and won't lay flat & I think I'm probably going to add a few more reasons, but besides that... It's awesome <3

Here's a few pictures from the process.

close-up of the back label.

Thanks for looking <3 :-)

thank you! & i wore it over jeans on friday, cos its a little too short for school, lol.
im not sure what type of fabric it is, but it's really light weight and came wrinkled. it doesnt stretch much either.

I started working on this a long time ago when I got the fabric for (2yds/$1.00) out of the remnants box at WalMart, but gave up because I couldn't get it to fit right at first... but I came home from school one day last week, and I was inspired Smiley

Pardon the goofy faces. YAY for my first REAL sewed thing.

Yeah, I made it out of some jeans I had.

So, basically, I went to Abercrombie, and saw this incredibly cute skirt... and then I saw the $69+ price tag, and was like, "Screw that," and made my own Smiley

I love this skirt. So much. I'm so proud of myself. My favorite part is the lace in the tears/holes, which you cant really see in the pictures, but yeah.

Thanks for looking Smiley

Sorry if this tutorial sucks... I had to draw it in Adobe since I didnt have two more pillowcases to cut up. PM me any questions, or ask them on here if you need to. The waist band intructions are kinda vague.

On my computer this looks really small, so if it looks small to you too, heres the link:
