211  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Knitty's Ribbon Xback on: April 07, 2005 10:58:57 AM
I'm down!  Smiley

I have some Colinette Giotto that I used for a tank from some issue of Vogue Knitting - cute but totally unwearable. I've been looking for a project to rip it for, and this might be it. I'll have to check and see if I can get gauge, but I'm excited already.

Aha! That makes sense.

Thanks for the info!

Okay, dumb question: what's stabilizer? I just got some Sublime Stitching stuff, and when I get around to it, it'll be my first embroidery project.
214  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: The David Bowie Ribbon Box on: April 06, 2005 08:52:40 AM
That is awesome!

I'm totally starting to build up an unruly stash of ribbon spools, so now I know what to do with them. Thanks!
215  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: many FO's, ie: koi, watermelon, bunnies and more! on: March 31, 2005 08:03:55 AM
Thanks again for the pattern, Tygir! I ended up making nine rabbits to give out to friends and family as a "Happy Spring!" present, and they all went over very well. Here's two of mine (I couldn't quite sew the noses right, so I ended up using beads):

Now I can make one for myself, and some star and watermelon barrettes. Wooha!  Cheesy

Those are AWESOME!

Very nicely done.

Thanks, Tygir! I can't wait to get home and start on some bunnies.

Um, even though Easter's like....this Sunday. Hee.

Oh I love it!

And Jay was always my favorite!

Hm. Must go see about making a me-sized poncho like that....

Those are all awesome! I love them!

I don't suppose you could point us to some patterns, could you? I'm thinking I could use some watermelon barrettes, and my little sister would probably love an Easter bunny. (Especially since she's just started to crochet.)
