1311  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Sometimes I stitch monsters onto all my clothes. on: March 27, 2005 11:57:20 PM
oo! a while ago i made a robot/alien that looked, style-wise, a little similar to your monster. i think i like your monster better though.
my robot/alien said 'invaders'. he was a bastardised version of a TERRIBLE embroidery pattern from my mum's 1980s women's weekly craft book.
1312  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: red TEAM ZISSOU HAT!!! (TUTORIAL!) and pics finally fixed!!! on: March 27, 2005 06:44:53 PM
i dont think i'd really wear the beanie, but i have an (oldish) red rib jumper that is similar to one that someone (i forget who, i think it was Klaus) wears during the movie, so it's gonna get a stitched white Z on the breast for this winter...

i actually liked their chunky knit jumpers more than the beanies.

wow! where is the pattern for that from? (pre-screw-up?) I ADORE it!
it's actually inspired me to knit something larger than a scarf/gloves.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post a tutorial!
1314  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / stitching through tapemeasures on: March 01, 2005 03:56:54 AM
i guess this could have gone in the clothing section... but i wasnt sure and i'm all new an' all.

anyway, does anyone know of tapemeasures that can be stitched through? i only seem to have fibreglass coated ones, and i dont think a needle would get through it. or is it possible?
or, does anyone know somewhere you can buy cloth tapemeasures (online)?

i'm wanting to stitch one down the length of a bag i bought. dont really want to glue it unless i have no other option.
