I love the car. I love the curtains. I love the chalkboard on back..

OMG> I love Redforkhippie! I was scrolling through the images and making my little happy squawks - the hubby looked over and did his "no way in hell are you doing that" head shake and glare... LOL I wish I could do this to ours!
2  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Re: Sheeeeeps Innnnnnnn Spaaaaaaaace! on: December 20, 2010 05:52:36 PM
This is amazingly well done for a first try! Silk painting is a b... mother in law.. to learn.  Grin

I giggled when I read the title because Piggggs in Spaaaaaaace came right to mind. LOL

The fabric is awesome! I'm a huge sucker for the brightly colored paisley prints and retro feel. Good job!

I dig this so much! And making it a zippered cover is genius!
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Record Wall Art!! on: December 20, 2010 05:40:54 PM
This is definitely something unexpected with records. I'm already calculating how many records I can scrounge up...

They're so bright and lively, I love them! Good job. Bet they block a lot more light than the lacy ones did.

23 w compact fluorescent.. got it. Thank you so much! I was just showing my husband this post so we could get more light in the basement. Thanks again!

Are you using a low watt light bulb, or would this baby be safe for 100 Watt lightbulbs? This is an awesome idea, and I want to play around with it... but I'm really paranoid about fire hazards. Still - me likey!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Old National Geographic Flooring on: December 03, 2010 11:17:37 AM
This is amazing! You did such a great job.

I know how sucky it is to work with off-level floor. Wood filler would work. The only other idea I could possibly offer would be to lay down plywood first (which could get costly if the room is big) as a kind of new sub-floor.

I've seen the newspaper floors, and the brown bag floors. But man... this took it to a whole new level. Awesome!

This was one of the projects I eyeballed the last few months before I joined here. I absolutely LOVE your tree!
