Not necessary have to close on the front, long dark beige knitted i-cord included for lacing up.

Made of vintage, recycled and new yarns.

No matter how hard copycats try to copy my designs... They will remain one-of-a-kind.

2  Crochet Summer Vests - Tie Dye Effect Flower Mandala in Crochet: Completed Projects by babukatorium on: May 01, 2013 07:41:01 AM
My favourite summer crochet waistcoat design in many color combinations!

Made of several different shades of sewing thread.

Flower center inspired by a doily seen in a Hungarian magazine. Optically slimming fit given by the color scheme and the particular self-shaping design.

6  Crochet Umbrella - Rainbow Ombre Leaves Doily Motif With Star Crochet Embroidery in Crochet: Completed Projects by babukatorium on: February 21, 2013 07:28:24 AM
This time I choosed a beautiful organic doily with delicate leaves to modify, I embroidered the star pattern with purple thread and created the colors as blended as possible for showing better the gorgeous motif.

Great for a rainbow wedding, for festivals, as a photo prop... Or just because it's fun!  Grin

Made of sewing thread and it's pretty lace weight.

Diameter: 100 cm

Crochet umbrellas (called "parasols") are NOT meant to be used in rain!!! They are sunshades.  Wink

7  Granny Circle Vest With Black Fancy Fur Swirl And Black Broomstick Lace Decorati in Crochet: Completed Projects by babukatorium on: February 12, 2013 06:49:57 PM
This hypnotic crochet vest is based on my favourite design, it includes 24 colors in rainbow order: baby pink, pink, fuxia, magenta, burgundy, red, orangish-red, orange, ocher yellow, sun yellow, light yellow, lime, light green, green, grass green, emerald green, teal, turquoise, blue, dark blue, royal blue, purple, violet and lilac. Plus black. Oh YESSS, black is back! XD

The circle shape has an optically slimming fit: Your waist looks thinner, Your shoulders larger.

With the black furry crochet swirl embroidery You have the right to hypnotize Your Friends! For making it even more complicated I designed a gothic lace edging so face to face You'll look like a romantic, sexy princess, but when You turn around they'll discover the quirky psychedelic witch in You!!! @;)

You can wear it in different ways: cross the tulle ribbon in the front and knot it on the back or make a bow on waist, use Your favourite shawl pin or Your belt... Many different ways to wear this vest... it depends on how many personalities You have!

9  Crochet Shawl - Pink Mohair Hearts in Crochet: Completed Projects by babukatorium on: February 08, 2013 07:26:56 AM
This Valentine's Day accessory is based on a vintage triangle shawl pattern, made of vintage hot pink mohair yarn. Can be used in different ways like a classic shawl, a funky scarf, cover Your head with it just like a pin up lady or knotted around hips as a belt for the belly dancer look...  Wink I have some huge projects in progress right now and for not feeling overhelmed by them I started to create "relax projects" when I get tired. A shawl, a hat or other little accessories give instant satisfacion!

10  Crochet Poncho / Skirt - Rainbow Granny Stripes With Go Crochet Motifs And Doili in Crochet: Completed Projects by babukatorium on: February 01, 2013 07:31:37 AM
When Laurinda Reddig asked me to write a review for Her friend's new crochet book my first answer was: You want ME DOING WHAT?! It's like asking a illiterate to say something about Romeo and Juliet. Yes, I can see it in the theatre and tell You what I liked about it, but my opinion is based on how the actors played, how the director wanted me to see it... But not about the book. I still have difficults to read patterns, so I explained to Ellen Gormley that the best thing I was able to do is starting to create from Her new book, Go Crochet! Afghan Design Workbook and She accepted!!! @;) All the patterns have scemes too and great photographs, it was easy to follow them and a pleasure to work with!

So here I go with my first Go Crochet project, a retro poncho that can be used as a skirt too. Bright rainbow granny stripes base with Go Crochet motifs used as appliques and two bigger doilies all decorated with colorful buttons in different shapes: circles, rectangle, star, flower, bow... Just because it's fun! XD
