1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / What to do with a carpeted bathroom? on: January 07, 2013 04:56:12 PM
Been living in this rental for a year now, and the carpet is finally getting to me. The floor is uneven (reason for carpet I guess?) It's cheap indoor outdoor carpet. There is no ventilation in this bathroom, the window doesn't open, so it can get damp in there (worse for the carpet!) I'm terrified that this carpet is going to get ruined, and a bath mat isn't helping collect overspray from a clawfoot tub. Any suggestions for something durable, removable, and inexpensive so I can cover the carpet?
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Can I use Polymer Clay as a mold? on: December 01, 2010 10:36:56 AM
I've been creating molded crayons for a while now. I've been using silicone molds, but I would like to expand to original designs to hopefully start a business. I was wondering if I could make a figure out of polymer clay, bake it, and then make a mold or two from the figure. My question is, will a baked polymer clay mold hold up to hot crayon wax? I have no idea how hot the wax gets.... should I stick a thermometer in the next batch?
