I am so proud of this bag, took me around 4/5 hours to complete. I lurrrve it, and will be taking out to my friends birthday drink session with my matching black checked dress. I mostly winged this bag, I had made a crappy trial run first off, made a few tweaks here and there, then made this!

I think that this is the first time I have not made a mistake making something, I usually sew things together that arnt supposed to be, or sew up something that was meant to be left open, so i'm pretty chuffed

Hi there, I recently got some yellow sparkly fimo as a gift from a friend (was in a yellow sparkly stage  ) and want to jump on the polymer clay train, but i'm at a loss of trying to think of simple yellow items to recreate!!

all I can think of to make is a yellow butterfly?
Edited to add: or a big sparkly yellow banana! hahaha imagine that! giggty giggity I hate spongebob also, so not that either.... running out of idea's! helppppppp

Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do, or any other colours/items i'd need to buy to complete something cool. Can you paint on fimo?

I want to buy some of these big safety pins, but i don't know the proper name for it! i tried searching for nappy pins, but they all had brightly coloured tips on them, and safety pins need to be less safe. The first two pictures are the best at what I want. So could anyone help me name the pin, or link me to a store that sells them. Thanksss!!

Hi there! I posted on the help section a while back (like two years ago while back eeek!) about help for my prom dress....
I have finally found pictures of the bottom which I needed help with! HORRAHHH!
So here we go!

I started off with a £35 dress from TK Maxx. This picture is of the dress partially constructed, the boob part were attatched to the other side, with a strap going from the center of them upto the neck like an inverted halterneck, and had some sort of jewelled thing connecting the straps together just in the center of the chest. I took the jewelled thing off and swapped the boob sections round to create a halterneck that went from the far side of the chest.




I then posted to ask for some help on what to do with the bottom section of the dress.
This is what I decided on doing.... ruffling up the bottom and making it shorter!
I also redid the back of the dress but i don't have any photo's of it. I made it low backed, and used matching ribbon to make it lace up sort of like a corset. and here is the final dress!

My whole outfit came out real cheap too hehe.
the bag was £3 in a sale and the shoes where also only £5 in New Look.
so the whole thing came to £43! which is nothing compared to everyone else...
my friend charlotte in the purple payed £90 for her dress alone! But it is amazingly beautiful!

I made this bag using the tattoo girl fabric! The pockets round the outside are all lined and I put a lined pocket on the inside too :-) so here it is!

Hey guys! I've just finished a new bag for my friend and i'm very proud. It was my first time lining a bag, and first time doing a pocket of anysort, so its a big accomplishment for me

It's pink, its gingham, and more importantly it has RUFFLES!!



I followed a mish mash of things, I used a McCalls bag pattern for the main part, and extending it to make a tote bag.
I then followed Jordy's square bottomed bag tutorial to do the lining, which can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=32204.0

and stuck in a slit pocket which I used the zippered pocket in lining tut, just replacing the lining with a strip of fabric.

Hi people!

After about half a year of not getting my scrapbooking stuff out, I finally succumbed and my friend and I had two nights of scrapbooking! I did four pages: three new ones, and one re-design (it appeared previously on Craftster on my other scrapbook post)

Ps: Sorry about all the chatter, I didn't realise I talked so much!

This one I did was based on my college, as I finished a few months back. I used yellow cardstock to go with the yellow building, and matched it with black polka dot, so the picture with ASH on it didn't look too misplaced. Backed the pictures on some black mulberry paper, so all the edges didn't look too harsh, and finished it off with some AMAZING carstock letters that I got a full alphabet with for £1. A right bargain! I then used these little glittery black Making Memories letters that I borrowed off a friend, and will now go and buy about 4 packets because I've fallen in love with them! For embellishment I just used a few flowers and a strip of ribbon.



An actually recent photo (im in the middle) from a night out with the girls! I had to double back the title letter as it kept getting lost in the background! I also used some more embellishments that had been lying around my stash, and I think i've nearly decimated all of those types now, I used so many! I used some more glittery letters and some more polka dot paper! I turned over one of the edges and added some different paper to it, to make it look abit different. I love the background paper on this one!

I tried to use a panel type layout seeing as I only had two small pictures to use. I used pink and blue to go with the dress and the pink bow on my hand, and so I could use this gorgeous pastel flower paper (used on some panels) I added a big blue flower, and some shoe and dress embellishments that I've had stuck in my stash for like, ever. I did have a minor disaster, when I reliased that I didn't have enough N's for the dancing queen title. So I had to peel the stickers off and make them into a crossword style title so i could steal the N in dancing!




I went on holiday to Paris for a week, and only just got round to scrapping the pictures! I used some b/w Eifel Tower pictures I took whilst there. I used some more pink backgrounding, to contrast with the monotone of the pics. I love the little bow that I found to put above the I in Paris. To make things stand out, I chopped up a section of a colour photo of the tower and put them in the middle. I finished off with some cute buttons, and some 'chic' stickers.








I hope you like them! I'll be quiet now I've babbled about my designs for so long!

Made a little tote bag today :-) took me about 6 hours in total.
it has this lovely japanese style purple fabric on the pocket of it, and i added little bows on the handles.
Still new to making bags, so its not lined as I havn't figured out how to do it! (anyone have any tips?)

And I made a little matching coin purse!
the zipper was a right bugger to get on, but I got there in the end!
I added some lace to hold a bus ticket or card and the likes.
It's a bit wonky, but it'll live.

This is what I started with. It was really massive and made me look like I was pregnant lol. It was meant to be a long top i think, it just covered my bum.
I've had it in my project box for ageees and could never thing what to make, but after buying some patterns I started rummaging and got hit with inspiration!


I made this without a pattern, but think it looks good! even if I put about ten holes in it and had to unpick half of it only to sew it up wrong again.... but such is life!

Here is what I ended up with:

MINI TUT!


Get a long piece of jersey fabric, attatch the good faces together and sew the end creating a tube. Wear it to see if it fits and adjust if necessary. Seam the top edge. Trim the bottom to where your bust finishes and where the dress starts, cut the rest off leaving enough for seam allowance.



I then gathered the patterned fabric all round the black tube part, sectioning the large patterned piece into quarters to make sure that it was mostly even around the tube. I then pinned pleats onto the tube. Sew round the top where the pleats are.

Nearly done! Turn it rightway round and admire your handywork! Try on to see if there are any adjustments needed.

To gather the bust. Put the dress on and pin where the middle of the top tube part is. Take dress off. Get a small piece of stretchy elastic and pin the top of it to the inside of the dress, lining it up with the pin. Sew a few mm back and forward on the top of the elastic. Then stretch the elastic as far as it will reach and sew along it, keeping the elastic taught. And ta-dah! as if by magic a nice gathered middle section.

And there we have it! even if it's simple I like pictures to go with tuts :-)
