1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Flexible when cured? on: June 28, 2011 09:56:40 PM
So I'm on a hunt for the Perfect Project Material...and I'm not having a lot of success. Cry What I want is pretty specific. It's a sculpting compound that cures into something resilient but spongy...sort of like foam or rubber. I've tried Crayola's Model Magic, but the result was just too crumbly.

So...anyone have any ideas?
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / PMC Slip Casting on: April 15, 2011 10:55:20 PM
So...er...the first trinket I tried to make out of silver PMC didn't exactly work out as planned. Therefore I've turned the dry clay particles into slip. But can you use pmc slip to cast something using a mold? I sort of tried it earlier, but there were a lot of bubbles that formed. Anyone have any advice for making this go smoothly?
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Christmas is a'comin'! on: December 07, 2010 09:02:09 PM
I've been getting into a holiday mood lately, and this is the result. He's supposed to be the Spirit of Christmas Present. >_> I always did like the more antiquated Christmas feeling. You know, lots of baroque frills and lots of gold, red, and green.
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Mermaid mask! on: November 26, 2010 02:05:26 PM
I've used dichroic glass with masks before, but never a glass piece this large and complex. They're actually kind of hard to find for an affordable price.

Addendum: Didn't mean to be misleading. XD Only the center piece is dichroic glass. The rest of the mask I hand sculpted from a kind of resin.
