22  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / ew. ear help. on: July 05, 2005 04:14:01 PM

i gauged my ears abouttttt 2 weeks ago. from the standard ear piercing size to 14s.
well, when i took the pincher out and tried to put the earring in...i sorta had to force it. it didn't bleed then. acutally, the other ear was a piece of cake.
and so, i've been cleaning it with saline stuff from when i got my second holes a while ago. and my right ear [the piece of cake] is all heald. no more crusties nothing. but the one that gave me trouble was always a lot crustier. and today it just randomly bled! it was actually a lot for a little hole. it doesn't look infected to me or anything....but what should i do for it???
i don't want to take it out. that's the last option.

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Plain armwarmers on: May 26, 2005 04:17:05 PM
i really thought armwarmers would look hot with my outfit today...
so i knit some!
inspired by the "last minute knitted gifts" projects [i think]
except i really didn't feel like cables or anything special.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y266/AlyCat8701/Picture025.jpg
it looks really bright there but it's a calmer rose color

knit on homemade wooden needles. plain garter stitch.

i'll share this funny occurence:
Rachel-"I really like that...weave"
Me-*runs fingers through hair* "thanks..i'm bald under this you know..."
HAHA. she didn't get it for a while.

[i also LOVE the second one a lot]

i was wondering if anyone has a knitting pattern for something like that.
my cousin's baby turns one tomorrow and i'd love to send something down to them.

thanks in advance!

27  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / unique jeans for friend on: May 21, 2005 03:48:44 PM
my friend has told me i need to decorate her jeans.
i get them on monday and i'll hopefully be able to give them back by the end of the week.
but what to put on them?
she's what some would call "goth"
into Marilyn Manson, Murderdolls, and Slipknot...
also bands i like too..Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Alice in Chains, Billy Idol...

help! i'll probably just do it in sharpies and tell her to wash them inside out. but appliques are a good idea too.
28  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / new school bag. on: May 15, 2005 04:13:31 PM
i love bags. this is probably my favorite bag i've ever made!
hand sewn. sewing machines don't like me.

all the pieces cut out with assigned pockets Roll Eyes

i planned out a nice little button arrangement to go on the back corner...

it got changed a bit

nothing in it

inside nothing in it.

inside pockets filled

inside with all my school shiite in there too

outside when full. those buttocks pockets are for my camera and cell phone because i always need them handy.

and here's me modeling it. eww. it makes me look fat because that shirt's so huge and my hair is gross because i had just gotten out of the shower.
ahh
excuses, nevermind i'm just ugly.
focus on the bag.

feedback, por favor.
29  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / mmm. shoes. on: May 15, 2005 04:06:34 PM

okay so i saw a thread around here somewhere about MAKING your own shoes. but i decided to just cover mine.

before. with the pieces all drawn out on my fabric [an old shirt that didn't fit]

after. don't look at the left one because i sewed it first and the front looks so wonky.

i can find the link if you want it. and my advice: don't do this around kids or seniors...you'll probably end up swearing.

oh neat/gross story!
well, the heel part is thicker, so sewing on that part was extra difficult. i was pushing the needle through and the eye of the needle actually went through some of my finger. just a small section. but the thread was through it and all. it was really weird and i thought i'd take a picture but then i decided that'd be gross. haha.

but now remains the big question...what to wear them with?
 Huh
30  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / nasty arm hair remedy on: May 15, 2005 08:26:00 AM
ok, so for the longest time i've had gross macho arm hair. maybe because i'm irish and italian. i don't know.
well shaving it off does no good. that looks about as good as a bald cat.
gross

so, in the shower just a few minutes ago, i was like 'cool, i'll use the pumice on my arm to exfoliate' but i noticed it thinned out my arm hair.
less of it, but still enough to look natural.

yeah. i know at least a handful of you have had the same problem.
