<<<inspired.

i always consider getting one from like the lawn section of pier 1 and keeping him in my room but they're so darn expensive.

i'm seriously going to consider this.
i wonder if that green foam would work..? you know, the kind that you can push your fingers in...hmmmmm..  Cheesy

ugh i know what you mean about swaztikahs appearing everywhere. being buddhist, i can always pass it off as the buddhist symbol for peace which hitler decided to ruin (*insert nasty words here*)

so, i made a camera out of a wheat thins box on international pinhole day and got the prints developed on tuesday. first of all, i didn't even get to see what came out of it. they threw them away. i saw the negatives, which they also ended up throwing away before i could blink an eye, and there WAS something on the negatives. i'll admit it didn't look like much, i overexposed most of them, but i wanted the prints for a learning experience.
:[
i've learned my lesson to not ever attempt to develop my pinhole pictures at walmart.

also, my shutter ended up crumbling before the end of my film so i'll be reinforcing my next shutter with aluminum or something.

another lesson learned: don't try to use your old camera with regular 35mm film, unless that's what it takes. i guess my old 35mm needed special 'kodak advantix' or something.

bleck! but i won't give up. i'll try again with black tape (i just colored over what i had) and shorter exposure times. and just be better in general.

Thank you MunLtStmpr.
I'll definitely be checking out those links once i'm through my paper tonight.
yeah i've tried to keep my hands busy but if i'm knitting or something and a piece of dry skin snags on the yarn, i stop for an hour and pick pick pick. :[

yes, my brain is completely off while picking. it's horrible! i'll be in class picking away without realizing it until i hear something to write down and then i realize, 'omg half my thumb is gone and i'm bleeding everywhere'
it's so embarrassing and i feel so out of control sometimes. :[

but i've tried to swear off picking until at least the end of finals. if i can go through all that stress without picking, i can stop. sometimes i think i pick in my sleep though...? anyone else ever wake up with bloody fingers? very weird to wake up to.

It's really good to see the supportiveness of folks here. I really think we have the kindest group of people on the internets.

I like the general idea, but I think it would be quite time consuming for Batgirl to set up multiply polls and try to classify all of the images into categories.

Ah well. I have no idea how much work it takes to do those thingies.

She might still want to pursue it.  Just throwing in my good ole 2 cents. Cheesy

maybe we could all go back for her and write at the bottom of the replies to this board what category it would fit in..?  Smiley

10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: figure drawing (warning:WICKED nudity ahead) on: April 23, 2008 05:24:19 PM

thank you everyone!
((sorry again about the thumbnail chiqui, didn't even cross my mind))

yup, my professor practically begged me to take drawing 2 next year, which is ALL figure i think she said.
so, i'd better get used to it :]

i would DEFINITELY ask for either the rear view or underpants on a male model. i know it's all just natural, but it does not feel right to look at the opposite sex's genitals. especially a stranger's. i know that every time she glanced down or glanced at someone in my class, we would immediately look away. it just feels like you're looking at someone's life!

haha, oh yes. during our break, a few of the students were talking to our (semi-clothed) model and i just couldn't do it haha. i'd rather think of her as just a body than someone who has kids and drinks coffee!

adiemonster, you can thank my professor for that! :}  i had a similar angle, where her knee that is propped up was covering everything basically and mary moved me to the EXACT spot she wanted me (taped up a little square for me and all lol)
and good luck with the nudies! :]
