This is so lovely, and the detail on the animals is fabulous. 

Hi, I’m in the UK and I’m looking for a supplier of material, preferable internet based and without huge postage charges.

I use material for lining make up bags, backing hoops, covering journals, appliqué etc, so I only want small pieces but lots of variety plus some unusual prints. I’ve bought fat quarters from ebay before, but it’s so hit and miss what’s on there. Does anyone have any favourite they can recommend?

I um-ed and ah-ed about which board I should ask this on, but decided on this one as you are all so helpful. 

I'm making a simple little button tree wedding card for a friend, and this is where I'm up to:



My question is, is it finished? I had originally thought I'd do some grass and flowers and bark on the tree, but now I think it might be too much. Also, does the love heart stand out enough? I did it in back stitch, but maybe split stitch would be better?

The colour behind the tree is sky blue, but the flash has distorted it a bit.

For my 30th birthday this weekend we had a float are our local carnival. The theme was 1982 (the year I was born) and there were some fabulous outfits. Not everything was home made, but I thought people might enjoy seeing the photos any way:
