1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Minisweater complete! on: December 25, 2006 12:14:53 PM
I finally finished a larger project! Glampyre's mini sweater was an easy knit and took about 4 days. I am lacking in certain areas and altered it a bit, I used a worsted weight yarn and size 8 needles, and next time I won't need to increase at the bottom... or I need to increase less on the chest.

I think next I will use this pattern as a guide but create my own 3/4 sleeve cardigan. I am in love with top down raglans!

I just need a nice big brooch to fasten it together.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Mini skull tote on: December 17, 2006 10:23:55 AM
I fell in love with this bag the first time I saw it.

It was uber easy and came out great. There are a few spots where I messed up but where it was my first time with intarsia, I'm happy with it. I can't wait to make more... and design my own images for this bag. yay!

3  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / SNBN Newsboy cap?? on: September 12, 2005 05:36:21 PM
I have a quick question.

I am working on the brim and cannot wrap my mind around the BO2, slipping the first st before binding off rather than (purling or knitting) it.  What do I do exactly?

purl 2, slip one, bind off1?

purl 1, slip 1, bind off 1?

help....  Huh
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Interweave Spring 2005: A Good Bias??? on: June 08, 2005 04:55:30 PM
Has anyone tried this pattern yet? I have gotten through the 3 knitted rows and then I get through Row 1 and at the end, I have 5 stitches left instead of three. I am very confused... If anyone can help that would be awesome...

this is my first attempt at lace work.. wish me luck!
5  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / To Dye For sleeves..... help me please! on: February 26, 2005 02:40:47 PM
I have started the pattern To Dye For but I am having a problem with the pattern for the sleeves.

CO 41 sts. work even in St st for 4 rows. Dec 1 each side next RS row; *confusing here*  every 6th row 4 times; then every 4th row 2 times-- 27 sts. work even until piece measures 16".

so does this mean...
row 1-4 st st. (p,k,p,k)  row 5: p decrease 1 each side(beg and end of row?)   row 6:k 7:p 8:k 9:p 10:k 11: p dec 1 each side 12:k 13:p 14:k 15:p 16:k 17:p dec 1 each side 18: k 19:p 20:k 21:p 22:k 23:p dec 1 each side 24: k 25: p 26:k 27: p 28:k 29:p dec 1 each side 30: k 31:p 32:k 33:p dec 1 each side 34:k 35:p 36:k 37:p dec 1 each side   then work st st until it reaches 16"Huh?
it seems like it would be right but then I have confused myself so much over this.  Please help.   Huh
