Those are very cool!  How exactly do you split it open without splitting it completely in half?  Sorry for the silly question, but these are so cool and I would love to make some myself, if you don't mind.  Grin

Yeah, to tell the truth, I don't like it much either.  It just looks very grungy or something- I just don't really like the look of it.  But it's so easy and it's pretty hard to resist (added that I'm terrible at sewing), so I gave in to this project and was pretty pleased with the result.  : ) I am flattered by your compliment.  Thank you.

Heheh, David Cross.  That's great- I hope your bag turns out really nice!  Cheesy

I've been needing a purse/bag for myself for a while, so I decided to make a duct tape bag out of some rolls I had leftover from an earlier project.  So here's my take on the duct tape bag.  I got the picture idea from someone else's duct tape bag on here, and figured out how to get a successful stencil by someone's stencil tutorial.  The person on the front is Skip James, one of my favorite Blues artists.

The front

The strap- I just wanted to show off my (not really) handiwork.

The inside- I did a really sloppy job, the straps are stappled and the velcro was put in sloppily, but oh well.   Tongue

And here's the full pic.

Tell me what you think.  : )

I like scrounging interesting stuff up in the thrift store, and I do find some nice stuff.... I have to admit that I'm still working on my duct tape skills, though, and that making the bag was very trying in my patience.

Thanks for the comments everyone!  Grin

I just finished making this bag- I've never made one before, so it's quite simple and has it's flaws.  It's made out of a shirt I found at the thrift store and duct tape.  Sorry, I have an age old digital camera and lack the talent for taking good pictures.  Lips sealed

this is the front of it

here's the inside.  A little boring... no pockets or anything...

and this is it hanging.

Very very simple, I know, but I hope you like it.  Oh yes, and this is my first post, so please bear with me and my awefulness.  Tongue
