1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Tiny Sweets <3 on: August 08, 2012 04:32:03 PM
Haha, thank you! I can't wait to make more sweets, I'm thinking more tarts, cakes and cookies are in order.  Wink

Oh my gosh, those are fantastic! You make me want a corn dog... and I don't even like corn dogs.  Cheesy Great job.

Oh gosh, I haven't been on here in ages! It's been so long I had to remember how to post.  Cheesy

Anywho, I've finally gotten around to playing with Polymer Clay, so far just Super Sculpey that was generously donated to me by a friend. These are a few of my first projects and of course they are tiny (is obsessed with tiny things).

The Sweets, pictured here on my Re-Ment set:
- Donuts
- Raspberry filled cookies
- A raspberry (it's teeny, tiny)
- Sucker
- Blue bubble gum ice cream
- Wrapped candies
- Cherry tart
(I also pictured the trio of mushrooms but I'll be putting them in a separate post)

All of the figures were painted with acrylics after baking and I'm fairly pleased with how they came out.

Here's a few detail shots:

I decided against molding the stick out of clay and just cut a length of wire to fit, covering it with acrylic paint before gluing it to the sucker.

And this has to be my favorite even though I think it took me longer than the rest of the figures. Cheesy The raspberry was made by rolling teeny, tiny spheres of clay and then adding them to a bigger base... needless to say it took a while. >.>
If anyone can let me know a quicker way to do it please let me know. Grin

I'm looking forward to making more tiny things! Thanks for looking. ;3

Thank you for sharing this, I'll have to try making a bracelet with the kids on our beach trip. I love the bright colors. <3

Oh, it's so teeny, tiny! Great job. And I would suggest taking your picture outside in bright but indirect light, I know I would love to see all the details. Wink
Does your camera have a macro setting? I FINALLY learned how to use mine correctly and it's been really handy.
Thanks for sharing!

Oh, the gum drops are my favorites! They all look so good. How small are they?
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Blythe/Pullip Swap on: June 04, 2012 04:55:33 PM

If your BJD fits into Blythe or Pullip clothing or there are available patterns, it should be fine for you to join.  It's just easier to match people up who have the same type of doll, since they'll have a model in front of them.  Also, there have been BJD swaps in the past. Smiley

Thank you (re: icon)!  I love my Blythes, but haven't given them much attention lately.  Hazel (the one in my icon) used to go everywhere with me.  She was my 365 grl.  I'm hoping to get back into it this summer.

Thank you, I've been trying to find out if they fit or not but have been unable to get a solid answer.  Sad
And it seems like I'll have to sit this one out anyway since a few things have come up that will be taking up all my time for a while now. Also, I hope you have time to give Hazel some love.  Wink Thank you for answering my question.

I could have sworn someone asked this before in past threads but I couldn't find the post so sorry about having to repeat things! I was wondering if other dolls beside Blythes and Pullips would be allowed in the swap. I think the answer before was that I would have to wait for another swapper with the same doll, not sure though. I think my BJD (Fairlyland Pukifee) fits into Blythe shirts and short dresses, I'll have to research that again though. Thanks for your time!

[imafundork] I love your icon, btw. Grin Your girl and some others on Flickr have been making me think I need a Blythe. XD (has too many dolls already).

I'm glad you liked them. And once again, I'm sorry for being so late in sending!  Cry

Thank you, I'll have to go looking for it now. I should see if Joann's has it... or if they're up for ordering it. Tongue
