I just finished my cupcake hat last night. I used french knots for the sprinkles.

I thought the 2 inches of "cup" ribbing seemed short compared to the photos I saw. I decided to cast on 72 sts instead of 80 to make it more proportional. With 80 sts, it would have been wide enough for an adult. Anyone have any comments on this?

I finished mine!

I used Madil All Seasons Cotton from http://www.aswellyarnshop.com/cart/product.php?productid=16180&cat=0&bestseller

This fists very well, and yarn feels great!

cameras4toys, what do you mean when you say Jenna is afraid people are going to "rip it apart"?  Do you mean, frog it or criticize it?  I think her designs are consistently lovely.

She was afraid people will criticize it Sad

Anyway - I finished mine last night!

Reducung the amount of stitches picked up on the collar would have made it lay flat... I also picked up less stitches on the sleeve. The short row sleeve technique is great! No seaming.

16  A Swell Yarn Shop in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by cameras4toys on: June 21, 2005 11:17:56 AM

A Swell Yarn Shop is open!

The cool thing about this online yarn store is it's aimed at offering lower priced yarns for us who already have too much in our stash to afford a $150 sweater.

She is offering 15% now through July 4th to kick things off simply enter coupon code GD70505 at the bottom of your shopping page and you will get 15% off your entire purchase.
Shipping is free on any purchase over $30.00

The other cool thing is... when Angela (http://agirlsgottaknit.blogspot.com) saves enough from her profits, she'll open up a "brick & mortar" store in Redmond where we can all hang out and knit! There isn't a yarn store in Redmond, WA yet, so help her be the first.

19  Re: Apricot Jacket from Rebecca 27 in Knitalongs by cameras4toys on: May 31, 2005 12:16:46 PM
I am working on the finishing of this sweater this week. I used Lion-Brand Cotton Ease in Strawberry Cream. It took 4 skeins exactly.

I think the chart is incorrect on row 9, I didn't see it in the errata.

If you followed the chart as it's written, the stitch looks twsted

I made more of these for X-mas gifts. Grandpa is requesting I make them taller so they are more boot like.

I'm still wearing mine - I love them so, even though the colors I did are a little bright.
