1  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Recycled garden fence? on: April 11, 2005 10:43:18 AM
I live in a three family rental house and so I need to make my garden areas very obvious, to discourage my downstairs neighbors/landlord/contractors from walking through, digging up, mowing, or storing stuff on my plants.  (One clueless landlord once mowed my pumpkins!  Not just the plants, but the big beautiful orange pumpkins themselves!)  But I'm not all that thrilled with the idea of buying cheap plastic crap (made by small children in China) and I can't afford to buy the nice raught iron stuff from a local artisan.  So I'm looking for something a little more recycled that I could make myself.

I've seen a cute garden fence made out of bicycle wheels - cut in half and arranged in an overlapping pattern - but I don't have enough trashed wheels to make more than a few of feet of fence.  Any other ideas?

Thanks!
Turtle
