12  Re: What's everyone doing for Halloween this year??? in Halloween Costumes by mel-my-issa on: September 22, 2005 12:20:03 PM
This year I am going to be Miss Lady Kier from Dee-Lite. I loved the costume from the groove is in the heart video. This pic isn't the exact outfit but you get the idea. Dee-Groovy!

My husband is going to be The Jesus from one of our favorite movies, The Big Lebowski. The outfit looks more purple in the movie. It looks kind of blue in this picture. Nobody F***s with the Jesus!!

13  Re: Show off your hair! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by mel-my-issa on: September 20, 2005 09:41:28 PM
the 1st pic is hard to really see. but the 2nd, the black looks good. but then again, i don't know you. from an insider's view, it probably looks different. i accidentally dyed my hair black once (i meant for it to be a dark brown.)
and it looked awful on me cause my skin was so light. but not in a 'I'm cute and my skin a pretty pale'
it was a 'i should be tan cause i always have been, but now I'm a weird white'  haha.

my recent hair cut. i'm trying to grow it out, though. it was really long a couple years ago. i want it that way again.
Oh man, I just did that Sunday night. I had to go to my office on Monday with black hair AND almost black eyebrows!! What was I thinking? All I was suppose to buy at the store was cat litter but I couldn't resist the hair dye! I had to go to a salon to get a french wash twice AND get it re-colored. Man, that was expensive box dye!! It was so un-even that I had to get it fixed. The black eyebrows were pretty funny! We had a fire drill at work on Monday so the 1,000+ people I work with got to see me walking around with black eyebrows and freckles. I wish I took pics!

14  Re: I'm new and I have a question.... in Weddings and Bridal Showers by mel-my-issa on: September 17, 2005 06:05:23 PM
Here are the wedding invitation we made a few years ago. My husband was VERY picky about this part! He wanted AS LITTLE paper as possible! So this is what we came up with. The reply card was a postcard in the bottom pocket. We had a web-site with all the other info (lodging, etc). The picture is us ice climbing in Hatcher Pass, Alaska. Smiley They are not as beautiful as the invites posted by shmee but we loved them! Smiley

16  Re: Robot Swap Round Two Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mel-my-issa on: September 16, 2005 06:15:19 PM
This was my first swap! I had a lot of fun! Here is what I made.

It's a Marvin light switch cover. I covered it in those tiny microbeads.

A felted bag.

Some stickers I made at work.

Some fridge magnets. Sometimes a robot needs a martini.

I hope you like everything Chibiwakki. Smiley

Here is mine so far. I am going to do some more seaming tonight at work. I think it could have turned out a lot more professional looking but I did learn a lot!
