thanks for the replies!  I joined the knitting group and I'll look into the soap making, even though I've never done that before. Maybe it is time to learn?

I loved what I got from Drea 4545!  So sorry I didn't take action pictures -- I am actually in the field right now, so maybe I can eventually take 'real' action pictures and send them.  They are perfect bandannas!

I have the same problem, and am trying to finish more.  I also have an unfinished granny square bag which the socks distracted me from....

thanks for your comments!

I did not mean to make one sock! I got distracted, but I finally started the second one last night.  Smiley

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bows and Arrows stole -- my biggest project ever! on: May 11, 2006 06:57:46 PM
So until I made this Bows and Arrows stole for the Ongoing Stuff I Can Make swap, I had only completed a scarf, a hat, and a sock.  I am so proud I finished this I wanted to share it here too.

The pattern is here: http://bythehook.blogdrive.com/archive/166.html and I used Lion Brand microspun in black.  I didn't use as much as the pattern called for, although the wrap did measure a tad shorter than the pattern said when it was done.  I found the pattern really easy to follow, so much so that after the first completion of it I didn't need to look anymore.

So, if you are a pretty new crocheter, get out there and tackle something that seems crazy! Without the swap I wouldn't have tried anything like this, and now I am happy I did it.
