1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My cat invented swag on: August 02, 2012 08:56:09 PM

As much as I hate the use of the word. If there was a single living thing that embodied the definition of this very word, it would no one other than my cat Niko.

Niko the cat is a two year old tabby that enjoys costumes and adventures. By adventures I mean sleeping for 18 hours a day, getting up to eat and stink up the house....and yet....I loves him <3

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Water Color Pancakes :)))) on: June 28, 2012 09:44:44 PM
So it's been a while that I post in here or really work on any projects because I've been so busy lately but I managed to do some painting one lazy Sunday afternoon. My subject matter truly reflects my infatuation with food, blueberry/banana pancakes to be exact. I love food so much. Yum Wink

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / frugal 50s wedding wedding dress and budget wedding on: December 13, 2010 11:58:27 AM
ok so I guess I'm a little behind on this but here is my diy, low budget wedding. My then boyfriend and I had been dating for over three years and he decided to pop the question Feb of this year and we got hitched in July of this year. So with little time and money this is what I came up with...

first, my dress

I used a heavily embroidered lace fabric with a ivory satin lining.
Underneath it all about 16 yards of gathered tulle.
I also made my veil and the men's boutonnieres.

the bouquet made of paper flowers (some spray painted gold)

Next, the ceremony
We didn't have a billion dollars to spend on flowers so with the help of friends we made tissue paper poofs and hung them all over our church

Our cake was at minimal cost also since it was made between my mother and I.
The morning of the wedding I was adding the final touches placing the gumpaste flowers I had made...

We couldn't afford a florist so we made our own arrangements

Thanks for looking Wink
